Diverse Tuesday…

Today was a pretty amazing day. I got to do my own interpretation of one of my favorite style icons Brigitte Bardot when I shot with Romp London designed by the very beautiful designer and native Londoner Nina Morgan Jones.

My morning started out with coffee with milk and some swearing that I had to take a cab yet again today because my Bronco was a the repair shop. Then, and may I add, more gracefully I arrived on set at the beautiful Avalon Hotel where Marylin Monroe used to stay. I always love meeting the team of the day and this particular Tuesday turned out to be really good. First of all, the designer of the line turned out to be this ‘sex-on-a-stick’ hot blonde and native Londoner. Nina Morgan-Jones. Next surprise; the clothes. I had of course checked it out online, but it’s always different when you get to wear it and feel it. Let me just put it out there in case you are curious; if you like rock’n’roll. glamour, sex, quality and pristine elegance you are going to die when you try on the jackets, rompers, boots with fringes, T-shirt dresses, shearlings and swim wear from Nina’s line.

After the shoot I raced to the repair shop to pick up my car and met with Pepe Moreno the top art director in Tarzana. And with hard and efficient teamwork we finished layout of 37 pages of my NYC book. The teaser will go online tomorrow 🙂

Then, when I was about to head back home from Tarzana around 10 pm my battery died on the Bronco. Really??? Just what I needed. If it hadn’t been for Triple A and the fabulous pasta Pepe threw together as we were waiting for the truck this night could have turned out pretty ‘demanding’. Now, home, safe and happy I feel blessed to know so many super helpful, creative, sweet and talented people… Tomorrow is my last day in LA before I head to NYC for some work. It will most likely be busy. But I’m excited about it and cannot wait to wake up to a new bright day…the first day of the rest of my life…
