Day One in NYC

Getting ready when you are going abroad for more than a month can be challenging. At least, I find it hard to make ends meet when it comes to finishing up work, meetings and social stuff. This morning I caught the 6:30 am flight from LAX to NYC and I did it the rock star way bien sur, by staying up all night packing except for the 50 minutes where I took a cat nap. And then off to LAX.

I dozed off most of the way to JFK and when I got into town I had one hour before I had to be at the huge Nigel Barker book signing event at Willoughby’s on 5th Avenue. Nigel Barker being a super star photographer known from the TV show America’s Next Topmodel and Willoughby’s being the oldest photo store in NYC attracted a lot of cool New Yorkers tonight. As a matter if fact I was quite surprised of the massive head count. I enjoyed the evening a lot and met many fun people. At one point I caught myself really really missing the city that never sleeps… However, I refrained from going to other parties and made it straight home. Now I will get some rest and I will see you tmro…
