Copenhagen Love

Heartbeat, clammy palms, wide open eyes, no sleep, excitement. The last few days before I fly into my hometown Copenhagen I’m always super excited, nervous and happy to see my family and friends. I rarely get any sleep and arrive dead tired with a jet-lag the size of Australia. This time around was no different. I came from NYC where I worked for 6 days, which usually helps on the jet-lag situation. I mean, not flying all the way form LA to Copenhagen, but only dealing with the 6 hour time difference usually is a blessing. But shooting outside in NYC during a blizzard, going to the Metropolitan Opera watching ‘Don Carlo’, seeing old, dear friends and just being in the NYC energy field left me even more excited and insomnia-ish than ever.

In this context I have realized that from time to time you gotta fight evil with evil. So after arriving in Copenhagen I relaxed a bit, took a shower, changed outfit and went to a big Christmas party where a jazz band performed and everyone from the neck of my woods were there… wow! Big, fluffy perfectly created snow flakes fell from the black sky outside the windows and made the landscape even more white and fairytale like every hour while we were raging inside in one of Copenhagen’s most beautiful apartments.

Friday was dinner with sisters and mother. Saturday more parties and fabulous dinners with the girls… and Sunday time with dad, American siblings and grandmother in Elsinor … Nice!

Did I fight that evil bitch called jet-lag yet..? Hmmm not really. I still feel a bit off and I think she is haunting me. And on top of Miss Jet-lag I think the bill from the last 2 months of hardcore work and travels has finally caught up with me. Payback time!

However, tonight I have reunion with the Pinot Grigio Club. A meeting, which is of utmost importance so I have no sympathy nor time to be fuzzy brained right now.

Here are a couple of shots from the Copenhagen parties I’ve been to so far…

Marianne, Marthe, Tine & I catching up

Mads & Miss T

Søren & Kim

Très chic!

Marthe, Ulrich, Marianne… Some guys just have all the luck 😉

The party took dancing on the tables to another level..

Gorgeous Louise & I

Oh hiii girls! A sea of blondes and one brunette in the middle …. A très common vue in the state of Denmark

A Christmas Card Peter Posgaard made for the National Film School of Denmark. I think it’s fun, crooked and I like it a lot.

With that I wish You all Happy Holidays and I truly hope all Your dreams come true. And if they don’t right away, then it’s because you are not pursuing them hard enough. Follow your heart, trust your instincts and never take ‘no’ for an answer 😉
