Brokeback Mountain Nicaraguan Style
Today was a big, big day for me. Actually gigantic is the word!
Ever since I set foot on Nicaraguan land I have begged to go horseback riding. I love horses. Obsessed is the word. I had an Arabian horse since I was a kid and lived in New Mexico and I miss everything about the sport. I ride both English, Classic style and Western, but I prefer Western tipped off with some dirty old, cowboy free styling 😉
And that’s what we did today. Dirty, free styling. It all looked sunny and dandy when we left the house, but as we were saddling up Colgate and Canelo it started to rain. And when I say rain, I mean rain!! But actually, I don’t mind at all. I find it intriguing, super sensual and very mysterious to run as fast as the wind through the jungle while it pours like an Indian monsoon and you don’t see what’s behind next corner.
Luckily my riding buddy Thomas is a good horseman and he didn’t mind my speed addiction. On the contrary. And as the matter of fact his horse was faster than mine, which was close to annoying for my ego… hmmm….
We did what I would call one hour of full speed horsing around in the jungle, on the beach where the waves were breaking, in the mountains with extraordinary views and steep, steep, super green hills rolling as far as the eye can see….. All foggy, warm and misty and truly beautiful. The ocean as a roaring sound backdrop. Breathtaking…
Again, such a dramatic experience in Nicaraguan nature. If it wasn’t because I love making movies so much I could grow accustomed to the cowboy lifestyle. But then again…. You cannot wear your YSL heels out here in the jungle… And I really like my new YSL heels….
Anyways, Here are a couple of shots. Unfortunately it rained way to much to bring the camera with us on the horses so I only have pictures from before and after the ride…

Right after this picture was taken I took an outdoor shower with all my clothes and boots on to get some of the mud off. My suede boots will never be the same again…

Hi, I’m very interested in Linux but Im a Super Newbie and I’m having trouble deciding on the right distribution for me (Havent you heard this a million times?) anyway here is my problem, I need a distribution that can switch between reading and writing in English and Japanese (Japanese Language Support) with out restarting the operating system.
