Hi friends! Just a quick update before I have my next meeting at one of my favorite local cafés in the Frederiksberg area of Copenhagen, Denmark. I arrived in Copenhagen this Tuesday, only 2 weeks after I’d left and I spent Tuesday night with my family. I didn’t have time to unpack because next morning, Wednesday I was off to Antwerp, Belgium. Come to think of it, my suitcase was not unpacked in LA either haha :-D. I only had 14 days at home in LA before I left again
It’ not even been 14 days and here I am yet again hanging somewhere in the air approaching the air space above Greenland. Truth be told, I didn’t even unpack because why bother when I knew I had yet another long journey coming up around the corner. As I’m crossing time zone after time zone on my route flying east from my home in Los Angeles first stop London I am trapped with both sensations of joyful excitement and painful emptiness. It’s a somewhat skizofrenic state of mind where I
Here we are, end September 2013. It’s Los Angeles and the temperature still kisses 90 and makes you want to add at least one more sexy bikini to your collection. Every night is still a party night like no tmro, the cars are vintage convertibles or top of the game ‘nouveau riche hell’, the drinks are always double-up and the women and men are gorgeous, super toned and tan. So where am I in this equation….? Well I’m here in the middle of LA-topia in West Hollywood and not complaining.
When we get a scratch on our skin we are happy to know that it heals fast. The blood dries up and slowly the skin grows back together without much ado. Our skin is a living material that sustains and repairs itself over and over again without us giving it much notice. But what about non living materials? Let’s say the shirt I am wearing rips. Opposed to my skin, I would have to take my shirt to the tailor. My skin repairs itself. My shirt does not. This might
I’m back home after a looooong whirlwind of a trip to Europe. It feels amazing to be in my home again, but tbt also a bit weird. Like the quiet period after a huge and violent storm. All is silence and I need to adjust. Because silence is sometimes much louder than even the biggest storm. Silence can heal you and silence can tare you apart depending on how you choose to ride it. I use the term ‘ride’ since I think the older I get I realize that life
Sitting in the lounge in London, Heathrow Airport contemplating the last month and a half, sipping on an excellent cappuccino while waiting for my connection to LA. I know I must sound like a stuck record, but here it goes again: I can’t believe time flew so fast (!). Suddenly half of September is gone in a blink of an eye. Boom! August accelerated faster than a Ferrari on the German Autobahn on steroids. So fast, fabulous and fierce (not furious) that it feels almost violating to be plunged here,
Happy Saturday people! Just a quick little note before I leave Europe for now. It’s been such a pleasure being back. And this time for a longer period, which takes a bit of the stress away. I actually did get to see a lot of people and managed to get a lot of work done this time around. Of course not everything and I have a feeling I’ll be back soon to wrap up certain projects. I did cut a lot back on sleep to make ends meet this time,
Traveling a lot, eating and sleeping randomly determined by job, location, jet-lag and social events is probably not the best medicine for the body if you want to stay fit and healthy. Add to that, my extreme lust for adventure where I’d rather lose sleep than miss fun times and you have what a lot of people call a dangerous lifestyle. But I still manage and I am in love with my life as is. Never a dull moment and since I added the the Los Angeles based Moksha Hot
I woke up this morning not feeling too grand. I guess a month of full speed working, no sleep and 7 hours of shooting pictures yesterday wearing almost no clothes posing in front of a fan does that to you. Today, I’m down with a cold. But I was determined (and foolish enough) to ignore all warning signs this morning, jump on my bike and make it in time for my new favorite workout session energii. I am of the firm belief that the heat from the hot room and
In one week from today I’ll be on a plane back to my home in Los Angeles. Most likely hungover from the wedding the night before and most likely reminiscing positively and happily on an amazing trip to the neck of my woods – Denmark. I am so grateful for all the old and new friends and family I have in this part of the world who embrace me and like to see me when I hit town. One word; Thank you for still being there! <3 Today in particular
