Life

Last night I went to an event at The Duncan Miller Gallery in Santa Monica owned by friend Daniel Miller, who’s specialty is photography. Right now he is running an exhibit on the iconic American fashion photographer Fernand Fonssagrives from the 1940’s and 1950’s. Breathtaking images from before retouch and phrases like ‘let’s fix it in post’ existed. Quite inspiring how he plays with light and shadow. In the adjacent room more contemporary photographers show their work and amongst photographs of James Dean and Marilyn Monroe is a picture of

Summer of 2013 I shot this music video with my good friend and multi talented artist Jorgen Klubien here in LA. I play his girl friend in the video. Jorgen is a super star in Denmark where everybody knows his and his band ‘Danse Orkestrets’s songs. Here in The States, Jorgen has worked for Disney and Pixar as a cartoon artist for numerous years. Jorgen came up with the idea to the cartoon ‘Cars’ just to name one huge commercial achievement of his. Next year he releases his first solo

Little red riding hood Back in October when I was in Denmark shooting my new TV Series and the documentary about artificial life I did a fashion editorial shoot for the beautiful ‘Luxury Aficionados Magazine’. Theme is a potpourri of H.C. Andersen and the Grimm Brother’s classic fairy tales. Location is Holckenhavn Castle and the team was a hand plucked amazing group of talent. I feel so lucky to have been part of the adventure even though it was a rather hardcore  and nerve wrecking shoot. It took a lot

As most of you know LA and especially West LA is ‘health freak central’ on many levels. Types here vary from moderate ‘I eat sort of healthy and exercise once in a while’ to ‘I only eat vegan, hike every morning and practice Pilates’. And then there are the self medicated cases that take drugs like it was vitamin C and live in the gym. I won’t even go there to mention them, because in my book, the latter case does not resemble anything close to a healthy lifestyle. I

#loveaddiction It’s good to be back in LA and slowly settling into the jive here again. I forget how much I like it on the west coast when I’m traveling. One thing I noticed getting back into town is that people here in LA complain a lot about daylight savings and the weather these days. Yeah , we’ve had some rain and it’s true the days are shorter. But coming from the cold North aka Denmark, dealing with LA weather is a piece of cake. Where I was born we

It’s Saturday late afternoon and I’m just dropping by for a quick hello and status update before I crash with tea, gummi bears, wine and netflix. I just got back from a beautiful hike on the infamous Santa Monica stairs overlooking the beach and the mountains. Amazing November weather. Not too hot, nor too cold for a workout outdoors and the fresh ocean breeze just makes me smile and remember yet again, why I love LA so much. After working the stairs we went for a late lunch and hung

Sunday and I’m chilling a bit before I’m hitting Santa Monica to take part of AFM tonight (American Film Market). What I should be hitting, is the the gym. But honestly, I’m not sure I have the energy. Yesterday turned out long and adventurous. It began very early in the morning with a 90 minutes hot yoga flow class with a new teacher who was so intense I almost fainted. Totally out of the body experience right here in West hollywood. Oh, and PS bonus info: Mr ‘New Teacher’ looks

Last night I had a très LA experience to say the least. And if you wonder what that means, check out the following: I’m still a bit jetlagged and wasn’t feeling the whole going out thing. But an old friend, Craig, who is a magazine editor invited me to the ‘7 Hollywood’ Magazine party @ Chateau Marmont and since I have a weakness for beautiful magazines and drinking champagne and eating sliders while mingling @ The Chateau, I picked myself up and went. Throwing on my leather shorts, my black

Tips on Hot Yoga

I often get asked how I stay in shape, which I take as a compliment, because I don’t feel fit and lean always. Quite the contrary. So thanks for asking :-)! However, my answer is Hot Yoga, Hot Yoga and more Hot Yoga. And recently I discovered the wonders of ‘The Power Reformer’, which I’ve added to my workout routine if I want to get extra fit or add more muscle tone for a role for instance and I will talk more about this amazing phenomenon at a later date.

Monday morning and my body feels lazy, tired and sore after long days filming ‘Go to Sleep’ here in LA. It was fun playing the bad nanny and it’s always such a treat to work with children. I guess I’m still a bit jetlagged, but the beautiful Cali weather helps and in a bit I’m hitting hot yoga. Yeah I’m going back into the sweat cave and I cannot wait 🙂 All morning was paperwork and phone calls, but the physical aspect is important for me to survive my lifestyle.
