Wow what a week! My birthday sort of morphed itself into an entire birthday week and I gotta state for the record that I haven’t had this much fun with the girls since my birthday week back in 2010, which I celebrated in NYC. But this time I also had to work and take meetings so today I am beat in lack of a better word and happy to have one day home where I can take care of stuff from my laptop. One of my really good friends here
This week was my birthday and to be honest I had both ups and downs about it. Not so much the ‘one more year thing’, but more the ‘what to do and with whom’. It began when I attended a girls’ spa-dinner-club birthday for one of m beautiful friends here in LA some weeks ago. It was a fun event and suddenly I was like ‘damn, what should I do?’. I’m not into big stuff unless my family is involved so I was contemplating my options. But as usual, life
Sorry that I’ve been a tad out of contact lately, but my website and my blog have been acting up. Probably hacked again. But now, after a ‘clean up’ it should be working again. This Wednesday I went to the VIP opening of Alec Monopoly’s art show at LAB ART. All the movers and shakers from the hipster scene to the Hollywood night club and fashion scene RSVP’d and arrived fashionably late in their sleekest outfits, funny glasses, crazy hairdos and lots of tattoos to match bien sur. The man
“To be, or not to be. Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing end them?” – Hamlet (Shakespeare) The last few days I have been contemplating Shakespeare’s Hamlet and his famous speech. Obviously not so much the whole ‘my uncle killed my father situation’, but more the actual thought of ‘Being’. Being here, being in our time, being in the now. Taking every moment in like it’s the last. Trying
Happy Weekend friends! Just wanted to say hi and share the new music video ‘Come With Me’ I shot back in December here in LA with Grammy Nominee DJ Steve Aoki. I play ‘an under water sea creature’. I love the song and everybody on set did a fantastic job on this video. I hope you enjoy it. I remember blogging about the experience 4 months ago. About how absolutely exhilarating, yet freezing it was in that outdoor pool. Yes, none of my movements are done on green screen. Everything
LaserTouch Soho in New York City is a luxurious and central place to get bikini ready I love the diversity of my job. One day I’m shooting a movie in the desert in Nevada, then I’m under water shooting the new music video for Dj Steve Aoki in LA or I might be doing a fashion shoot in Copenhagen or in New York City. It is action packed and I am blessed to work with great talent all over the World. Did that just sound a little over the top?
Perhaps you remember that I visited the neck of my woods Copenhagen back in January? I did so because I was booked to shoot the new World Campaign for Hasselblad and I spent 14 lovely, but busy days working and seeing my family and friends. Since June 2012 under water shoots have become my metier. Not saying that I only work in and under water, but for some reason many movies, music videos, commercials, fashion and beauty shoots right now are done in or especially under water and for other
Last week was busy with social engagements leading up till the Academy Awards plus auditions plus I was shooting some episodes for a new Danish TV show called The Stunt Comedy Show. This team is absolutely hilarious and some of the best stunt men in Denmark. Every day on set was a new crazy experience. For instance, at one point my character pushes the three stunt men with such super powers that they fly backwards 12 feet in the air. No need to point out that they were all wired
The nature of my business goes like this: One day you have absolutely zero on your schedule and you can practice yoga, see your friends, read a book and do practical stuff you usually never get around to do. And then suddenly out of the blue you get 10 emails and 5 phone calls and you have auditions and jobs every day and sometimes more in one day. Some of my friends who are not the industry say ‘Wow that must be stressful with all the auditions and jobs in
I feel sort of ambivalent towards Valentine’s Day. On one hand I truly like the idea of celebrating love, being romantic and showing people your true colors so to speak. What’s not to love about love? But on the other hand, I hate the fact that people here in The US go bonkers if they don’t have a date on V Day. When they talk about Valentine’s Day it’s like they are planning their own funeral. I understand that it might be a cultural thing, which is why I don’t
