Shooting TV and celebrating the ‘New Year’ Hollywood style

Last week was busy with social engagements leading up till the Academy Awards plus auditions plus I was shooting some episodes for a new Danish TV show called The Stunt Comedy Show. This team is absolutely hilarious and some of the best stunt men in Denmark. Every day on set was a new crazy experience. For instance, at one point my character pushes the three stunt men with such super powers that they fly backwards 12 feet in the air. No need to point out that they were all wired to a car that accelerated like crazy as I pushed. Good for them that the location of the day was Venice beach and they landed sort of cushy in the sand.

Saturday night I went to a pre Oscar party with lots of people from the Danish film industry. The movie ‘A Royal Affair’ was nominated as best foreign film and the director and writer hosted a nice party in the city. I think I met more Danes in LA last week than I have all of last year. It was awesome to catch up with old faces and to meet new ones as well.

This week I need to get my not-so-skinny ass to the gym and hot yoga so I can get rid of my guilty conscience. There was a lot of food and alcohol involved so now it’s time for a change.

Hope you all had a fun weekend and that you will enjoy this week. It’s funny, because here in Hollywood it’s like The Academy Awards marks the beginning of the new year. Like different religions and countries celebrate New Years on different dates. Hollywood’s New Year Eve was last night and today marks a new beginning for the film industry. No wonder they call it Hollyweird or Crazywood.
