When it comes to the word ‘Polo’ I usually associate it with either The Polo Lounge at The Beverly Hills Hotel, where the McCarthy salad is legendary, with the designer Ralph Lauren or with the gorgeous Argentinian men, who ride like the wind while swinging their clubs. I have always found Polo to be one of the sexiest sports ever. The atmosphere, the skills it takes, the strength, the men and of course the outfits. Moreover I am a big, big fan of horses and I have had my own
I’ve been back in my home in West Hollywood for almost a week now and the weather has been like my mood. Or perhaps, more like any day in my life. All over the place. Sunny, rainy, stormy, tornado-ish, mild and back to sunny again. I don’t have too much to share this morning. I dropped the thought of going to NYC Fashion Week when I heard the weather forecast. A snow blizzard. That feels beyond tired to me so I’m staying put for now. I have 2 movies coming
Wednesday evening and I’m cuddling up at home with good food, wine and my cozy new cashmere sweater. A Christmas Present from my mother. Yes, it does get chilly in LA in spite of what people think. The last few days have mostly been about boring ‘adult’ stuff like answering letters, phone calls and emails, paying bills, cleaning and settling back into my West Hollywood home. But I did have time to do some spontaneous fun with my girls plus I found an amazing new hair stylist, since my usual
I had an absolutely lovely 2 weeks in Copenhagen busting balls working, but also taking time to be with family and friends. Now, back in West Hollywood knowing I’m staying put for more than just 2 or 4 days and it feels good. Yet I sense a restlessness in my gut. After months of traveling and always being on the go settling and rooting can be challenging. So, I’m curious to see how this week plays out and how I react to the sudden ‘stillness’. I have made very few
Fashion Week in Copenhagen kicked off yesterday and in spite of the dreadful, Danish weather fashionistas from all over the World flocked to the neck of my woods to indulge in the fabulous frenzy. This season I spent the first day in an alternative fashion; woke up around 6 am at my dad’s new farm, which is located in one of the islands of Denmark. Needless to say, super secluded, remote and very, very muddy. After morning tea and a beautiful walk on the beach I ventured back to Copenhagen
Hello again, and sorry for being out of touch a while. Now is def time for a solid catch up. What’s going on with You? Last time we spoke I had just arrived into Copenhagen and did the Hasselblad Campaign with the cool and crazy underwater team. I saw the pictures they selected for the actual campaign and they look sick! I’m so excited to post them right here when they get released next week. Since then, I made it my biz to see my good friends and to work
Hey guys, I think it’s time for a quick catch up.What have you been up to lately? Last time we spoke I was still in Nicaragua enjoying family time under the sun. Today, not so much ;-). Last Sunday I arrived in LA late at night to find that the temperature was 20 degrees celcius lower than in Nicaragua. Needless to say I slept in my long johns that night. The days flew as I was trying to catch all my auditions, callbacks and meetings, unpack, do laundry and repack
It’s almost time to leave the lush jungle and return to the concrete jungle again. Sunday I’m saying goodbye to morning swims in the Pacific Ocean, palm trees swaying in the 90 degrees breeze, flip-flops, tunics, no make-up and wild hair. It’s time to return to my home in LA, which is always nice even though I will miss beach and jungle life. But I looooove my own bed and the calm and comfort of my apartment and I miss my friends in LA too. Apart from unpacking sandals and
As expected all phone and or digital connection is tough to come around here in Nicaragua, which is why I haven’t been active at all on the blog lately. But now it is time to tell a bit about how I spent New Years Nica style. I was lucky to be surrounded by some of my closest family during the holidays and this year we chose to welcome 2013 on a remote and absolutely gorgeous beach far away from much civilization. Primitive huts on the beach with outdoor bathrooms, ocean
I have spent Christmas in different cities and countries since I was a child yet it feels sort of funny to spend Christmas in 90 degrees, a roast sizzling on the BBQ, colorful parrots in the palm trees and Reaggaeton music blasting from surrounding gardens. Since I’m a creation of the cold north where snow and gusty winds rule during Winter time I am not used to prepare the Christmas dinner bikini clad. But home is where the heart is and this year my family has traveled across the world
