Taking up smoking and other habits

Ok, so basically my life is like an emotional roller coaster. I wish I could say, it has been going on only for the last few days, but honestly, it’s an ongoing state of body and mind.  I’m not entirely sure why I’m cursed/blessed with this internal ‘struggle’ inside and sometimes I wish there was an equivalent to the AA meetings for ‘us who cannot settle/rest’.

I sort of found it, the ‘AA meetings’, while I lived in NYC and was occupied day and night at the William Esper Studio. There, midst of all the super hard work from Monday till Sunday I found peace and assurance that I was OK being just me in my swamp of crazy thoughts, dreams and feelings.

In LA is comes and goes how inspired I feel. But I find that working, reading books, watching movies, exercising and meeting new people help getting me out of the funk and keep me inspired. Since it has been unbearably hot I cut down on the exercising part. Doing anything when it’s 110 F doesn’t really cope with me.

Also, I have taken up smoking (!). Well, not quite, but I bought my first pack of cigarettes the other day since my character in the next movie smokes and I want it to look natural when we go into production. So as I’m writing this, I’m trying hold a cigarette without looking cramped nor like an ingenue. Not sure how I’m succeeding. (How do you smokers do it??) Also, I don’t like the taste so I bought Menthol ones. On set I’ll be smoking hardcore ones, but for now menthol will do it.

Bellow are some captions that pretty much sum up my life right now… See you very soon again! xx KK

My new menthol smokes, my ‘Lady Boss’ – one of my new reads, which is inspiring since I believe we need more female heroes. (Once I get into an author I read everything she has done so needless to say I have pretty much most of Jackie Collins’ books) and views from my rooftop pool where I read most of the time if it’s not too hot ….

Resort wear from Douek & Jones featured in the Style Section of Fox News, my book NYC HEAD OVER HIGH HEELS , which I might have good news about soon and another interesting read about female perversions. And it is not written from the POV of the ‘male gaze’. Just saying! 😉
