French actress Ludivine Sagnier
Last night I re-watched the movie Swimming Pool from 2003 by Francois Ozon. I can watch that movie over and over again. If not only for the visuals and the sensual, dark and dangerous atmosphere. Both Charlotte Rampling and this French, sultry, yet innocent actress Ludivine Sagnier do fantastic jobs in this flick.
Besides the fact that she is a talented actress, what I love about Ludivine Sagnier is that she has an undefinable quality to her, which plays out well in this movie. She personifies female sensuality, raw humanity, desperation, solitude, simplicity and beauty in such a steamy matter and without losing her childish innocence that she becomes interesting to watch.
And the French cute pout and accent is sooo sexy!!

Thank you for this reminder about a movie I suddenly feel like watching again!
My first encounter with this masterpiece was a press pre-premier event very early in the morning some years ago.
Coffee was steaming hot and so was the mood.
Don’t forget the slightly thrilling twist it leaves behind for thoughts.
I don’t know how I managed to forget about this beautiful performance, but I’ll definitely dust off my collection, bring it out into the Sunshine and give it another watch 🙂
