Road Trip Baby!

Ok kids, the road trip 2011 is on! My family flew in from Copenhagen and New Mexico to see me in LA. So cool! But eventually we left The West Coast to seek new adventures on the north bound I-15 (eventually ending up in Wyoming) where we are spending part of our vacation participating in a seminar called The Renaissance Weekend.

I know; so nerdy! Who wants to spend their vacation getting up at 6:30 am hiking and having to to do presentations in front of approximately 300 people…? I thought so. Anyhow, that is what we are doing. Feel free to judge!

However, our first stop was ‘Debauchery Central’ AKA Las Vegas.

We checked into the lovely Cosmopolitan Hotel and spent the night and part of the day there enjoying the pool and luxury of the hotel. Loved it! Then it was time to roll again. This time next stop was Salt Lake City. You can say a lot about Utah; that it is pretty, that it is vast, beautiful country as long as you can imagine and that alcohol and very short skirts are frowned upon like nobody’s business.  Not so fortunate since my sister and I were in our pool outfits trying to buy wine in a local deli and everybody looked at us like we fell down from the Moon. Oops! Luckily both my dad and brother came to our rescue and we made it to our little scruffy, but cute Motel.

Tomorrow after the morning swim we are Jackson Hole, Wyoming bound. I have never been so far north in America and I am very excited to see the country side there. Apparently there are tons of bears, wolves and moose. So cool!!!

OK, goodnight from Utah! Speak soon and wish me luck on tomorrows adventures 🙂

Vegas is one of the least sustainable cities on the Planet. No wonder, with all the lights on and around The Strip
