Once Upon a Time…..
Little red riding hood
Back in October when I was in Denmark shooting my new TV Series and the documentary about artificial life I did a fashion editorial shoot for the beautiful ‘Luxury Aficionados Magazine’. Theme is a potpourri of H.C. Andersen and the Grimm Brother’s classic fairy tales. Location is Holckenhavn Castle and the team was a hand plucked amazing group of talent. I feel so lucky to have been part of the adventure even though it was a rather hardcore and nerve wrecking shoot. It took a lot of planning, mapping out locations, budgets and locking down a date where everyone was in town. When that was settled, we all got up around 4 am on the day and drove to the location. Holckenhavn Castle on the Island of Funen. Shooting in daylight in October in Denmark is no joke. We have almost no daylight this time of year so one has to be very efficient and professional to get the job done. 17 hours of full on work later and we could all call it a night.
I love the result and hope you enjoy the fairytale too.

The princess on the pea (yeah, I’m holding real green peas in my hand)
Snow White after having eaten the apple
The Ice Queen. They had to vacuum my hair for white feathers and fake ice crystals after this shot. I kid you not!
The little mermaid (FYI: I hand plucked the seaweed myself from the ocean the day before with huge hangovers at Hellerup Beach getting my feet wet. it was freezing. Don’t say models aren’t troopers)
This one I’m not really sure about. I guess, we just fooled around for a few minutes @ Holckenhavn Castle and this shot came out. It does not fit with the rest of the story, so it’s not in the magazine, but I still like it. Perhaps it will work for another story later down the road. It has a weird, surreal David Lynch feel to it.

Fantastic series. You are uniquely gorgeous and such a true chameleon with all these different looks. Photography and design are absolutely stellar. The hues and moods are delicious! Good stuff. Applause all around!
