Gold on Black

So unfortunately there is news that I cannot share yet when it comes to certain aspects of my work. I am not superstitious, but I believe to not jinx your luck. I tried that and had many disappointments during the 4,5 years (almost 5) I have been in this industry. So if you wonder ‘why is she never telling about her movies, new writing endeavors etc..?’. Well, now you know.

It’s not because nothing is happening. Sometimes too much is going on and I have to weed out the ‘noise’. Through trial and errors, I have found, that it is hard to be strategic about life in general. And my type of work or lifestyle if you will, is a constant mystery to myself and others around me and I am not sure I will ever master or control it.

Often people close to me ask about my direction or why I am writing this or reading that in preparation for a role. And I fail to come up with a sensible answer. Because I have none. At least not until it sort of shows itself to me. It’s an organic process that creates me rather than I create ‘it’. Am I making any sense? Haha! 😉

Anyways, so this is why I rarely speak about my movie auditions, my big modeling castings or other more personal work that is close to my heart before I am ready. I have found, that this works better for me.

That being said, I am happy to share some photos I shot with a great team in Copenhagen back in February 2013.

As always, when working with amazing photographer Henrik Sorensen, there is a lot of planning involved before we get to the actual shoot. ( He is the man I did the Under Water Hasselblad Campaign with). So one freezing evening I met up with the make up artist Gabriella and Henrik in the elegant Emquies & Holstein’s jewelry shop in the heart of Copenhagen to try on pearls, gold and diamonds. Not too shabby an activity if you ask me ;-).

And so it went; The following week we shot new images for this exquisite jewelry brand. It took a whole day getting me painted in black, then getting it off again and aiming for the amazing golden look. ( i had 2 girls help me scrub off the paint in the shower and my finger nails still looked like a part time mechanic after). I think we got some very interesting, inspiring and beautiful shots. But I will let you be the judge of that.
