Black & White
Just got back from a fabulous dinner with friends and as I was preparing for bed I got into an email conversation online with an Italian photographer about black & white photography. We both agree that Fellini’s cinematography is very inspiring in this context and that our next shoot is going to be a night shoot. And if not in a fountain then in a pool. Yes, very Anita Eckberg in the Fontana di Trevi. But we all know I do not have Anita’s ‘attributes’ and we ain’t in Rome. So we will do our own modern version right here in The City of Angels.
Anyway. The talk back and forth made me linger on Peter Lindbergh‘s black & whites for a moment. Some of them are quite amazing and I’m not sure what I wish more: to be one of the beautiful people in the images or the actual master who shot them. And then again sometimes I wish I could just disappear in a photograph or a movie or maybe in a beautiful song and stay there. Sometimes 2 dimensional seems appealing. Less confusing. Less to consider.
Either way, here are a couple of my faves by Lindbergh. Now off brushing my teeth.

Jeg havde fornøjelsen at arbejde samme med Peter Lindbergh på Santorini jeg lavede en commercial for LATTA smør, Peter fotograferede til print og du har fuldstændig ret Peter er en mester når det kommer til B&W, han er så meget inde i det tekniske og så på samme tid er han et fantastisk menneske super prof, har åbenbart set alt mødt alle og skabt en stripe af super modeller.
