Hair Rescue and Girls’ Night Out

Wednesday evening and I’m cuddling up at home with good food, wine and my cozy new cashmere sweater. A Christmas Present from my mother. Yes, it does get chilly in LA in spite of what people think.

The last few days have mostly been about boring ‘adult’ stuff like answering letters, phone calls and emails, paying bills, cleaning and settling back into my West Hollywood home. But I did have time to do some spontaneous fun with my girls plus I found an amazing new hair stylist, since my usual first choice is abroad for a month.

I usually don’t get in the chair having my tresses maneuvered voluntarily. See, I get my hair and face and body pushed, poked, pulled and painted in my job acting and modeling that I prefer to stay clear of anything that involves combs, scissors or makeup brushes. However, this girl – Valerie Chavez, is a specialist when it comes to exactly that: hair. And she is fast. Excellency and pace. Two things I subscribe to when it comes to personal maintenance.

Here are a few pics from my girls’  night out and from the next day of Valerie and I in the James Kendall Salon in Beverly Hills.
