Danish Mermaid

Hey guys,

I think it’s time for a quick catch up.What have you been up to lately? Last time we spoke I was still in Nicaragua enjoying family time under the sun. Today, not so much ;-).

Last Sunday I arrived in LA late at night to find that the temperature was 20 degrees celcius lower than in Nicaragua. Needless to say I slept in my long johns that night. The days flew as I was trying to catch all my auditions, callbacks and meetings, unpack, do laundry and repack for my next trip to the neck of my woods: Copenhagen. It was stressful to only have 4 days in my home and I didn’t even have time to see any of my friends.

Arriving in Copenhagen I was so happy to see most of my family there picking me up in the airport and spending the day eating Danish pastry and drinking tea and wine in front of the fireplace. So cozy! Next day I was booked to do the World Wide Campaign for Hasselblad. A job I have been looking forward to for a while since it is for a top brand and the team behind the shoot is so talented.

Photographer Henrik Sørensen is a specialist in under water shoots and I felt safe working with his team of elite swimmers and divers. After many hours in and under water in huge gowns the body gets tired no matter how great a swimmer you are, so a solid team to support you is key. Also, I felt thrilled to be working with 2 of my favorite girls on set: Make-up artist Gabriella Tipsa, who is such a star and partner and designer for Trash Couture Nanna Löwe, who brought 2 absolutely stunning couture gowns on set. You know the kind you wanna get married in if you like rock’n’roll. (On that note:  Rocker Courtney Love wore the white gown at a party ;-)).
