Lately my life has evolved around my beat-up suit cases. Either I’m packing them, unpacking them, getting stuff from the cleaners to pack them with, getting them (and myself) on a flight, calling car service or being on either email, skype facebook or on my cellphone with friends and family to catch up. My suitcases always in the room somewhere sort of lurking up at me seeming to think; ‘Oh Gosh! Where is she taking us next!?’ Last week I came back from the amazing and long road trip with
The last 48 hours have been a little piece of heaven. My friend Aura is in town to finish her new album and midst all our work stress, out of the blue we decided to take one day of vacation. So, Friday night her sweet driver picked me up and off we went to Teddy’s for drink and catch up. We never made it inside to watch the band perform because we had too much to discuss. Aura is one of most inspiring girls I know. And just like me
The last 2 1/2 weeks have gone by like never before. In short: I greeted my family in West Hollywood, we all got ‘carried away’ at The Swedish Midsummer party in Beachwood (the police came twice… OOOps!). We roller bladed, we hiked, rock climbed, swam, body surfed and used our brain capacity 200% during The Renaissance Weekend. We visited so many states, ate so many burritos and got acquainted with most of the Denny’s and other fast food selling gas stations west of Kansas. Tonight I’m so exhausted, happy, contemplative
Ok…. So I’m back in Santa fe New Mexico. Last time I was here is almost 1,5 years ago. At that time I just left my long term boyfriend and my short term Hollywood agent and I was in serious need of some R&R far away from old habits so to speak….. So out in the desert I went. A place far away in the wild, wild west where Native Americans, local cowboys, the artists, tourists, coyotes, black widow spiders, tumble weeds and lizards call the shots. Believe it or
Yesterday I felt like a true winner. The day was spent rock climbing and hiking like nobody’s business and to top it off we went skinny dipping in The Rio Grande. But not just to cool off. No, we were swimming for our lives to make it to the other side of the ferocious river. The current in The Rio Grande in this particular location in New Mexico is out of control and so strong it flushes you downstream so fast you really have to put all your effort into
COSTUME, Denmark’s largest fashion magazine has voted me one out of the 3 most glamorous women in Denmark. Yeah, I know: kind of funny since I run around in daisy dukes, no makeup and messy hair most of the time. However, I love reading Danish fashion magazines here in The States. It is a great way for me to stay in tune with what’s going on in my home country in the fashion world. Obvi, I read the news online every day, but having the actual magazine in my hands
Just below the state of Montana lies Wyoming. And if you think you have visited vast country side and seen beautiful amazingly big landscape in your life, then wait until you visit Wyoming. It is definitely for a reason they call it ‘Big Sky Country’. Rarely have I felt this small in the middle of absolutely nowhere. After a road trip from LA, to Las Vegas through Utah we arrived to Jackson Hole in Wyoming Thursday night and checked into the lodge where we are spending the 4th of July
Ok kids, the road trip 2011 is on! My family flew in from Copenhagen and New Mexico to see me in LA. So cool! But eventually we left The West Coast to seek new adventures on the north bound I-15 (eventually ending up in Wyoming) where we are spending part of our vacation participating in a seminar called The Renaissance Weekend. I know; so nerdy! Who wants to spend their vacation getting up at 6:30 am hiking and having to to do presentations in front of approximately 300 people…? I
I’m stoked about having my family from New Mexico and Copenhagen in town! They arrived late on Wednesday night and I’m taking them around The City of Angels the coming week until we are Jackson Hole bound. Yes, that is Jackson Hole as in Wyoming. And yes, I have never set foot there yet. We are going for the famous Renaissance Weekend that my father is invited to and I’m super excited about it. Ok, back to my LA story; Yesterday I took my family to an event that represents
Yesterday my friend, model and dancer Natasha Kassar and I did our take on ‘Penny Lane from the legendary movie ‘Almost Famous‘. Kate Hudson was nominated for best supporting actress by the Acadamy Award for her performance as Penny Lane. Very well deserved and perhaps she should have won since she was stellar and so fresh in that movie to say the least. Photographer Juan Monsalvez followed us around with his camera the whole afternoon and night as we were loving life in Hollywood with a true ‘Rock star’, groupie,
