This is Copenhagen!
People around the world often ask me what is Copenhagen like…
Copenhagen is the Capital of Denmark, which is a tiny, old Monarchy with a lot of opinionated residents who pay horrific high taxes and suffer under terrible weather conditions. Society here is like an Ibsen play with very well dressed actors on stage. A dark mentality, with a dry sense of humor, snobby as hell and often very beautiful.
The worst thing about Copenhagen is that it is so small and the best thing is that is so small… that’s the paradox of my hometown.
I love coming here during Summer time when everybody is out and you can use the water front, listen to jazz, bicycle and sip on cocktails all night long. Christmas with my family is also fantastic with all the food, the carols and traditions. This visit is amazing because I’m celebrating my sister’s wedding for 2 weeks. It doesn’t get much bigger than experiencing her joy and excitement. Taking part in all the preparations and seeing the happiness in her face every day. It fills me with love…
So last night was the first night so far that I snug out of the family house to go out and tear it up a bit. I teamed up with my blonde bombshell friend Tine and together we went to the Danish Fashion Awards Party and … yeah well some other parties…
Here are a couple of shots from the night seen from my POV:
Spotted @ Hotel Skt. Petri: The always well dressed Mads, whom I met the first time in club Arena in NYC years back when I still lived in the city.
