Saturday at the Office…

Since I got back from Nicaragua it has been a bit hectic. I always find it hectic after being away from my home. But luckily I am way more rested, relaxed and a little more grounded than I’ve been for months after my luscious jungle fever trip. It is funny how beautiful nature and stillness among loved ones can work as the best remedy for the soul, body and mind.

I have been auditioning for a few parts in feature films lately. One of them is for a lead role in a very diverse and, to me, meaningful movie about women’s rights in the Middle East. As my top, entertainment, Beverly Hills lawyer friend told me yesterday while visiting his friend’s mansion in Bel Air; ”… This project Kristina, is not something a lot of American girls would do….”. And he is right. However, this project is not pointing fingers at any cultures nor religions. It is simply just telling a story about friendship among 3 girls and the daily life and reality of a group of young women in a certain part of the world. That is why I am stoked to be part of this, in my eyes, very important project, which is a movie that supports human rights more than anything else. I will post more information when I can.

Yesterday early morning I had a shoot in Commerce City just south of LA. They had me wear white contact lenses and play around in a vintage Porsche Carrera 911. How glorious :-D!!!

Around lunch time I had a meeting with my 90210 lawyer. An event that took place in a scenario all the men I know all around the world would have died to attend: A huge mansion in Bel Air/Beverly Hills where around 30 beautiful girls dolled up like nobody’s business strolled around in bikinis and heels while 3 or 4 photographers shot photos of them in the pool, with the parakeets, in the tennis court, by the fountain or on the day beds me-owing like kittens. Hugh Hefner much…?

I was still in my fake fur jacket not daring to take it off, while we were lunching talking biz and taking this view in. Oh, did I mention all the six-pack guys in the background playing beach volley?  Wow!

Then on my way home I met up with Juuso, a great director and sweet friend of mine from Helsinki. He directs all McDonalds’ commercials for California and is a genius when it comes to story telling and cinematography. We met for a few drinks and a catch up at The W Hotel before I went home, ate dinner and crashed.

I have an audition in Studio City now, so I need to get going… speak soon!
