Nicaragua Love

2 days have flown by now since I arrived in Nicaragua and I’m smitten by it’s imperfect beauty, smell, atmosphere and vibe. This is a chilled place if I ever saw one… No stress, but a lot of rum, ripe fruits, gorgeous people and sun. Perfect!

We have spent the last 2 days in Granada shooting and sight seeing.

One night some of us went down to the local school Clarita Feliz founded and managed by Peter Kolind where we helped serve food for the poorest of the children in the community. This particular night there were about 450 children sitting at the tables waiting to be fed. Sometimes there are hundreds more. While they wait for dinner to be cooked some of the children put on shows on a small stage for entertainment. It was a touching and intense experience. For many of these kids this meal is the only meal they get each day.

Then I’ve been out sailing on Lake Nicaragua – the 7th largest lake in the world with fresh water sharks and tons of islands. You can actually buy your own island if you please. 30.000 – 150.000 usd for your own piece of land in the middle of the lake. Very exclusive… except, it’s hard to bring water to the island, which makes it hard to live out there.

I’m leaving Granada in an hour and headed to the beach, but here are some photos in random order from my experiences…
