Monday Morning and Fairytales

IMG_0558lo

Monday morning and my body feels lazy, tired and sore after long days filming ‘Go to Sleep’ here in LA. It was fun playing the bad nanny and it’s always such a treat to work with children. I guess I’m still a bit jetlagged, but the beautiful Cali weather helps and in a bit I’m hitting hot yoga. Yeah I’m going back into the sweat cave and I cannot wait 🙂

All morning was paperwork and phone calls, but the physical aspect is important for me to survive my lifestyle. A total stabilizer on all levels. And especially after a long trip abroad.  I always feel a bit ‘off’ and disoriented coming home. Like, where am I? What timezone? What day is today? And hot yoga centers me and makes me happy. Gosh I sound so LA, but nevertheless it’s true. Also, having indulged in all food groups, and plenty of them, in Europe I’m ready to quit the ‘gluten and sugar attack’  and meander into more healthy choices. Not only does gluten and sugar make you gain weight, but they mess up your skin like nobody’s business so a change is welcome at this point. Not that I regret any of the amazing pizzas, Danish candy nor ‘leverpostej’ and other Danish specialities that devoured, adore and will never give up. But as the wise say: everything with moderation, so I’m switching horses as of today.

This week is sort of a new chapter commencing, since I’m beginning to write again with my biz partner while our documentary on Artificial Life is being edited. It’s exciting to follow the process and looking forward to sharing something once we feel ready.

On another note, here is a little editorial I shot with my good friend and photographer Signe Mørkebjerg Sjøstrøm back in May 2013 when she and MUA Karen Schnack were here. I love the fairytale quality the pictures convey and can’t wait to work way more with these two beautiful and talented ladies 🙂

Happy Monday everyone and speak soon! xoxo KK
