Life is what happens…

It’s always a bit stressful prior to a travel and unforeseen events pop up on top of your usual daily routines. John Lennon’s quote ‘Life is what happens to you when you are busy making other plans’ sort of always nails it. This week I got myself into a car crash busy driving between meetings. Nothing happened (Thanks God!), but it reminds you of how fragile life is. How much and how many people we take for granted.

Friday I shot with director and fashion photographer Stephen Garnett. A super provocative video and some stills. Some of the moves and things he had me do was a bit of a challenge even for a veteran like me so I’m very curious to see how the project turns out. I thrive on breaking boundaries and test new grounds in my work and I love it and respect it tremendously every time I meet a director who teaches me something and takes me to the next level.

Saturday morning I was off to the jungle again. I hate the packing part of traveling. It always happens an hour prior to the car is picking me up and taking me to LAX and usually with a hangover or at least very little to no sleep. However, I love the stopover in Houston airport where I have time to roam the bookstores and bug the sleepy cashiers about this and that book title. 4 books and a latte later I boarded the flight to Managua and felt pretty happy with a Bloody Mary in hand in my comfy first class seat.

To be continued very soon…
