Laguna Beach Baby

Saturday morning during Thanksgiving weekend and I’m still in bed. I’m texting my good friend Lehang to see whether she has a dress or two I can borrow for next week. I’m tired of my own closet and I have 2 big red carpet events coming up and for once I don’t want to be last minute as usual. Lehang has an amazing closet and she is a great stylist. She styled me for my last movie ‘A Place to Die’.

This morning she is also lazy in bed and while texting about fashion we decide to meet up later for an early dinner. But since the weather is so nice we suddenly agree to drive to Laguna Beach to spend this perfect day on the beach and perhaps a night in the city.

I jump out of bed and pack a few things before Lehang picks me up. 1 hour later we are in Wholefoods in Laguna picking up lunch and wine. (We beat traffic on the Interstate 5 south bound – Yay!). 10 minutes later we are barefoot on a blanket on a quiet, gorgeous beach enjoying the afternoon and later the sunset.

Even later we share a bottle of champagne in the jacuzzi and gossip until we look like red lobsters. A 20 minutes ‘disco nap’ and a shower later we pull our lazy bones up and into something presentable and go to the restaurant CAMP in Costa Mesa for dinner.

Tons of tapas and wine later we are both yawning so instead of hitting the Laguna bar scene we hit the sheets and fall asleep to the movie ‘Hemmingway’.

I am sort of falling for Laguna and can’t understand why I haven’t spent more time there yet. It’s very cute and ‘vacay-like’. Nothing like busy LA. And it’s only a hop and a skip away – sort of 😉

Now it’s Sunday evening and in a few I will hit my local yoga shalla to finish this beautiful weekend off in a healthy way. I always sleep so well after 60 or 75 minutes of intense hot Moksha Yoga.
