Honey, I’m Almost Home!

So… It’s been a while since I paid attention to the blog. Let’s face it; I’ve been exhausted and didn’t really have anything in me. After New Years in Copenhagen I went for a short trip to New York and now I’m high up in the air 2 hours away from what I hope to be a smooth touchdown in Los Angeles. And honestly, I am longing to sleep in my own bed by now. It’s over due to put it mildly. I vaguely remember the three days I spent in my LA home in late November/early December. Before and after that there was a lot of airports, meetings, deadlines, handshakes, kisses in the air and to the camera. All part of a high that made me dream of more, but also long for some peace and quiet.

New York is always a good place for me to visit. I get myself entangled in mesmerizing meetings and moments that can only happen in NYC. I’m sure anyone who has ever visited this monster of a Metropolis can relate. I was a pretty good girl all alone though and got a lot of rest on this trip.

However, last night’s farewell drinks escalated and wound up a bit nuts and suddenly I found myself singing karaoke and eating deep fried shrimp at 5 am in Korea Town. This was after I wore a red turban a very trendy Indian gentleman gave to me and we all danced on stage at The Box like no tomorrow. But tomorrow came and when I felt my stomach turn in the town car en route to JFK I swore I’d never drink again. It helped a bit with a burger followed by 2 small bars of Godiva milk chocolate before boarding the flight to LAX.

I realize I didn’t take any photos while in NYC this time around so you will have to do with these two shots I did with the amazing and super talented photographer slash model Sidney Etienne and MUA Joyce Ifeoma Jacob in December 2011.
