Girly Day and Earth Quakes

Yesterday I sort of took the day off. Not entirely, since I was up early working in front of the computer and then had to hit the gym so I can gain the muscles I need before October 1st. But after that I drove out to Hotel Shutters on The Beach to meet with my good friend and singer Aura. She is visiting for a few weeks from Copenhagen and we always have the most fun and spontaneous days and nights together.

This time we just lunched for a few hours at one of my favorite places on Abbott Kinney in Venice called Gjelina. We had Sancerre, oysters and salads. Yum!

Later it was time to hit Fashion Night Out here in LA. I never really got into the whole event. Instead I indulged in way too much sushi from Nobu and forgot about the fashion. Oops!

Just as I stepped into my apartment after a long, delicious day an Earth Quake shook us up and I could hear people screaming in my building. It is always super intense when it happens. This one was a 3.5 magnitude fellow. Not big, but centered in Beverly Hills, which is where I live so I felt it a lot and for a long time. the quakes have become more and more frequent lately and I am just praying that a lot of small ones will outdo the big one everybody is talking about.

Me, so tired and ready for bed, but freaked out about the Earth Quake. Needless to say I had the craziest dreams about enormous Earth Quakes where I was flying around weightless among furniture, bricks, other people and dogs. It was a trip!
