From the concrete jungle to the real jungle
From the concrete jungle to the real jungle. Welcome to my life; Diversity central.
Last week I was in NYC working and seeing my girls. Returning to my home in LA after a fantastic week in the concrete jungle, I had only two days to catch a few meetings and to repack before I was on a flight again. This time Central America bound.
I am spending the Holidays in Nicaragua with my family enjoying a completely diverse type of Christmas than the ones we usually celebrate. Freezing, snowy Copenhagen. Major stress buying presents and food for weeks in contrast to: 90 degrees, jungle, beach, sun and no stress about Christmas shopping. Even though I miss my friends and loved ones in LA, NYC and Copenhagen I am happy to be exactly where I am in this moment.
Today we went on an excursion to Mombacha. A big volcano with a local coffee plantation. The view was to die for and we hiked around in the lush jungle until starvation drove us down the mountain to the charming city of Granada (the oldest city in Central America) where we indulged in pizzas and salads.
Now it’s time for a night swim in the pool and then I’m off to bed.
What are you doing for the holidays? I’ll make sure to take lots of pictures from my stay down here so stay tuned.
Sweet dreams from the jungle. xoxo KK
