Friday Thoughts…

Sorry for having neglected my blog lately. If I was not shooting pictures, filming or in meetings I have been locked up in my flat in front of my laptop typing away on my book about NYC. NYC – HEAD OVER HIGH HEELS. And the good news is that it is done. Finito! I wrote the last page this week and next week we go into layout.

It is hard for me to grasp that this day would actually come where I could utter these words. Why didn’t I just finish it way earlier you might ask? Good question. And for some reason I cannot come with a straight answer other than ‘stuff’ and tons of other work got in the way. Moreover, I am of the believe that sometimes things happen for a reason. That pushing certain issues too hard will lead to disappointment and unnecessary stress. Serendipity is key here. That being said one of my personal demons is called ‘Let’s have fun’ and he likes to spoon me like a Koala baby.

In spite of his cute innocent whiskers and puppy eyes he is a smooth operator. He sneaks up on me and whispers sweet nothings into my ear about how much fun we are going to have when we take on new fluffy projects. I am easy to convince. Too easy. Actually I’m a slut when it comes to adventure and new experience. I get exhilarated when I envision new exciting projects and detest redoing any job. If a job is done it’s done and creativity is to be found else where.
Anyways, this weekend I will indulge in some more work. Fashion shoots though. No writing and perhaps a little pool time too if I am lucky. The weather here in LA is gorgeous and to let my Louis Vuitton bikini get moldy in my closet would be a crying shame… ”Oh hi there ‘Let’s have fun’!!”  That little bastard just spooned me again.
