Breast Cancer Awareness

Today I walked for designer Shekhar Rahate on Rodeo Drive. I did it not only because his dresses make me feel like a princess on a Sunday, but because it was for the support of Breast Cancer Awareness.

As you probably know the month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. I got my mammogram done in June. When did you get yours done?

I lost a new, but very dear friend to breast cancer only 3 weeks ago. She was only 24. Words are not big enough to describe how unfair, insane and crazy that is. Such a young soul. It puts life into perspective.

And today, while walking in beautiful couture, I had several women come up to me saying that they are breast cancer survivors – so far…. Yes, that’s what they said. ‘So far…’

So without trying to preach anything I’m hoping that you will spread awareness in your circle of friends, peeps and relatives.
