A girl can never have too many dresses
The old saying goes, that a girl can’t be too skinny, or too rich. I’m neither, and I’m not sure I quite agree. At least with the former. However, I would say that a girl can’t have too many beautiful dresses that work both on the red carpet, at the beach or at a casual dinner party.
Since I’m Danish born I like to see what my fellow vikings are up to and yesterday I went to visit the store CASMAINE on Main Street in Santa Monica which is owned by 2 Danes and a woman from the Faroe Islands. Carsten, Susan & Annika. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was told that colorful silk dresses from Bali, leather and wool design from the cold North, locally made colognes and fragrances, fine jewelry, shoes, sandals and even the famous wooden shoes are present here in this little metropolis of fashion central in Santa Monica.
I was quite surprised be the abundance of talent and beauty when stepping into the little, cute boutique and I decided to take some time to browse the racks and pick out my favorite items. I am specifically looking for something to wear for events so I was in ‘dress mode lala-land’. But dresses aside, I discovered super sleek leather pants designed with wool, gorgeous sandals, jewelry and belts to die for and beautiful silk scarfs you can wear as a cover or a sarong on the beach over a bikini. All reasonable prices.
Here are my choices. I am going to an event tonight and I think I’ll wear the cute, little pink dress. Had I a boyfriend I would have gotten one of the colognes for him. They were so beautiful and sensual. I am mad about fragrances and secretly want to create my own line of fragrances at a later point in my life 😉
Anyways, I’m off to yoga now. Have a lovely weekend! xoxo KK
This dress I’ll most likely wear next week when we have our company launch party. I love the Grecian and pure feel of it.
The little pink, silk dress is very ‘princessy’ and cute. I was afraid it might be too cute on me, but I am taking the chance and I love the fact that it is so simple and easy to just jump into and feel comfy in. the long darker pink one I absolutely love, but it’s more a beach or pool party kinda thing. So not for tonight’s event. Both are from Love Shop
I’m in heaven discovering the fragrances by Sansu. Love them!
I adore this little rock’n’roll number by Love Shop. When wearing a sequin dress make sure it’s not skin tight or it can be on the verge of vulgar. I like this cut a lot.
Carsten, one of the designers and shop owners, and I in front of the store saying goodbye. All I can say is á bientot! 🙂
