A Brief Kiss from London before Copenhagen Fashion Week

Once again I’m cuddled up in a flight seat, but this time somewhere over the North Sea en route from London and Copenhagen bound.

Arriving in London Sunday midday was such a thrill. I am having a hard time remembering the last time I was in town. August 2008, I think, and I have to state for the record that I am growing more and more fond of the city.

After having been a very good girl without too much crazy traveling lately and loving LA more and more, it still came as a breath of fresh air to get out of LA and experience something very different. I was all smiles as I perused the streets of the old, gorgeous city taking in all the history, the style, the people and with an enormous appetite eating my way through the city. Literarily. My amazing and very special host took me to the most exquisite restaurants and classy hotspots and after a few days of indulging non stop I feel like I’m 8 months pregnant after fine dining 24-7. I hope I fit into my outfits for fashion week luring around the corner when I touch down in Copenhagen.

I stayed in a quiet, gorgeous place in the Mayfair W1 area one block from Hyde Park and a few blocks from Oxford street and all the shopping. It doesn’t get more central. And being a Euro I enjoy being able to walk everywhere, which is impossible in LA. Strolling the streets of London, playing tourist with my camera and meeting new peeps with insights to other cultures and lifestyles was truly inspiring and I realize I need to spend more time in this city. Period. I also had the pleasure of meeting up with an old girl friend of mine whom I went to the William Esper Studio with in NYC.

I could definitely have used more time in London, but Copenhagen is calling and tmro brings work with fashion week, which I’m super stoked about. It will be so fun to spend some time in the neck of my woods and fashion week in August is a great time to be back since most of my old friends and people I know from abroad gather during these days. Just how I like it, work and pleasure reunite once again like a charm…. 😉
