Road Trip Baby!

Since my birthday March 19th I’ve been blessed with the company of Anne Sofie, my sister from Copenhagen. She came over to LA to celebrate my day, which sort of turned into a birthday week and continued into a spontaneous road trip.

We left LA Friday morning with a hangover after yet another fun girls’ night out. This time at Sayers club in Hollywood. Prior to my sister’s visit I have not been out much, mostly focusing on work so this last week has been a fun little break with all this indulgence, laughs and blondes around me. I will def do a post with the other birthday girl parties on another day. I have the most amazing pictures 😉

Back to my story: Sis and I decided first stop on our road trip would be San Francisco. I don’t dare to drive my Bronco that far (she broke down on me on previous occasions), so we booked a rental online. No biggie. Long story short, for some reason we get a convertible fun little boxter and the following 6,5 hours 2 blondes were spotted driving, top down, screaming, smiling and singing from LA to the Bay Area.

Here, my NYC acting friend Hanna met us and after dropping our bags we all beelined directly to Foreign Cinema to wine and dine. Guess who was there!? Jean Paul Gaultier. No kididng. Dita Von Teese and an entire entourage of personalities were flanking his blonde self.

One word about that crowd: F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S. Gaultier was visiting SF to attend his own opening at De Young museum. A show we saw today and I cannot recommend it enough. Aside from the fact that JPG is the infant terrible who brought back couture, the exhibit in itself is stunning and mesmerizing and so well put together on all levels. Even for a down to earth girl like my sister. To quote her: ”If I ever get married, now I know who I want to design my wedding dress.” Exactly my thoughts. This man is a genius!

We are in a hotel in Santa Cruz now. Some weird couple is having sex next door. I know! Too much Information right…??!

Anyways, we are watching Mad Men and loving life on the road. Have a beautiful night where ever you are!!!

xoxo KK

We were so lucky to bump into the amazing senior chef Athur Wall from Garcon and he invited us to his restaurant in Mission District. Amazing food, wine and service. If in SF this spot is a superb restaurant to visit.
