Regrets… Who has time for them

This Sunday my acting coach Anthony had gotten me tickets to a show about John Barrymore at the Marilyn Monroe Theater. A quaint little theater on Santa Monica located in connection with The Lee Strassberg Institute. I went with my director friend Mark and we were amazed by this little place that sold cookies, wine in paper cups and the crowd on this Sunday was plenty and …. very different from us. I loved it! I also loved the play.

It was a one man show where you got a glimpse of the actor Barrymore’s life as he is getting older. ‘They say a man is old when regrets take place of dreams’….. that is one of the thoughts Barrymore is contemplating during the one hour on stage. Mark and I decided not to have any regrets either and went straight to Mary’s Hamburger – a joint further down on Santa Monica – after the show was over to get a drink and a bite. And .. haha… that place is funny!!! Smack in the middle of Boys Town in West Hollywood. It doesn’t get more crowded with good looking, buffed up fellas in very, very low cut tank tops on a Sunday …. 😉

Now I’m home and supposed to study lines for my audition tomorrow so I better get at it.

Goodnight and see you tomorrow!
