Pick-ups from NYC

I still have so many photos from my last trip to NYC in November. So let me share a couple of moments with you from the city that never sleeps…

Yvan Rodic shot this of me right after I went off stage at The Gershwin Hotel where I was in a ‘Warhol’ art performance. I was transformed from a human-being into the mermaid Ligheira. Later on I read a bit of my upcoming book about NYC, which will be out in February 2011.

Having a true Carrie Bradshaw moment walking towards The NYC Opera in my couture…. However, I refrained from fainting even though, just like in the Bradshaw situation, everything was very perfect that mild and magical night in the city that never sleeps … God, how I love NYC!!!!

Don’t worry! Kate is looking after you ;-)… Lobby at the luxurious Surrey Hotel on Upper East Side where we enjoyed the suite one night. Loved it!!! Would like to go back.

Staying in marvelous 5 star hotels in NYC is deluxe beyond. Whatever you ask for is usually taken care of instantly. When you call for room service there’s usually no surprises. You get what you order, it’s pleasant, however usually very overpriced. Period. However, the appearance of Fernando was kind of a surprise… Seriously, a man with that face needs to be photographed!!! The bottle of wine he brought us was still overpriced, but oddly I didn’t mind so much… and he brought me chocolate too aaaawwww!!! 🙂

Greek artist Miltos Manetas, whom I met on the flight from LA to NYC and we became friends. We should have napped since we were on a red-eye. But instead we drank wine and talked the whole way.
