NYC Blurbs and…

I’m not going back to NYC for fashion week and it kinda stings… But… then again I have to admit it feels pretty good to lay my hat in one place and know that it stays there for more than a couple of days.

I love my bohemian lifestyle. And living in a suitcase is fine, but living in your own home is much better.

Oh, and I totally forgot! I got my Mac back yesterday. Yay! I almost kissed the FedEx guy. I was head over heels about it.

What else is new..? Oh! I’ve taken up exercise again… UUuuggggh! After 2 months with serious foot injury and enjoying tons of long lunches, desserts, rosé mixed with occasional, casual swimming in the ocean and some free style dancing in clubs it is beyond tough to get into those Nikes again.

Seriously. I’ve never felt this out of shape before. Man! And to make matters worse I signed up for Power Plate classes. Previously I have had top notch experience with this invention ‘très moderne’. FYI The Power Plate is the ‘the lazy person’s exercise – slash – perhaps the busy person’s exercise…? Either way, it’s the perfect invention for me. Quickly in and quickly out. No muss no fuss with fast results. So now a super fit and toned Alex is kicking my butt, abs and arms 3 times a week in the Power Plate Studio on Melrose. Cannot wait to (hopefully) tell you about good results in one month.

But to get back to the NYC subject matter (sorry for the gym talk, but I’m back in LA hahahhah); I just wanted to share a few NYC moments with you before I go totally LA again…

7th ave and… dang I cannot remember cross street…

I met artist Anton Perich in 2005 in NYC and he became one of my mentors and a very important part of my NYC family. We often work together on different projects. This night we shot some stills for his work on ‘Contemporary Women’. A lot went down in this Studio to say the least… Oh! and yes. it’s a real Warhol banana on the wall. Anton used to work with Andy.
