New Movie
It’s been a little over a week since I got back from the lush Nicaraguan jungle where the rain season is about to kick in to the Hollywood jungle where power, sex, drugs and money always is alive and kicking. A lot has happened in little time and I guess the most exciting news is that I booked a new feature film.
We start shooting this coming week and I get to play the legend of ‘La Llorna’ (The weeping woman). The myth is widespread in Mexico, Central and South America and according to Wikipedia the basic story tells of a woman by the name of Maria killing her children by drowning them, in order to be with the man that she loved. When the man rejects her, she kills herself. Medea much!
Anyways, the movie is contemporary and circles around a family and not really the Llorna (me). I’m just the not-so-happy-ghost who makes everyone’s lives miserable. AKA I’m trying to drown them.
We negotiated and it looks like I get to stay blond and just wear a black wig for the movie. Will be fun and challenging since most of my scenes are in or under water.
This is the pic we shot during my first audition. We didn’t have a veil so we used paper towels instead.
