Must-Have Gadgets

OK, so a while back my manager introduced me to these two girls. They are both from The Netherlands, cool no-nonsense sisters and very fun to be around. We had drinks at BOA one night and then for reasons that I do not recall today we winded up on a road trip to Vegas together. They were staying at The Wynn and I stayed with my good friend Carolina – a Vegas local who gave me the 411 of Vegas. Wow! But that’s another story for another day and probably not for the fainthearted …

Back on track: After the usual ‘who are you dating, if any, if none, what are you looking for,’ we got into: ‘What do you do and who do work with’. That’s how I found out that these girls own a company that sell ergonomic furniture and ‘instruments’ to help writers, bloggers, journalists and really anybody, who spend a good deal of time in front of the computer.

First I was like ”hmmm… Wellll…. ‘not-soo-sexy-can-live-without-would-much-rather-get-the-new-Fendi-bag.com’. But after sitting day in and out front of my 13 inch MACbook Pro my shoulders, arms, back and neck are making me reconsider. As you might (or might not) know I’m penning down my book about my favorite place on Earth AKA Nuevo York. The book is called ‘NYC HEAD OVER HIGH HEELS’ and will be out this month.

However, in this process of putting my New York story into words even more time is spend in front of the small screen. So I figured it couldn’t hurt to test a few of their products to see if my limbs would feel different. (Plus a new keyboard, a mouse and a lab top stand cost a microscopic amount compared to a Fendi bag… sad but true).

Not too surprisingly it made a huge difference. I have used the products for 3 months now and Fendi bag or not: I’m saying thumbs up. I never recommend anything I don’t take or do myself, but having a so called ‘ergonomic keyboard’, my lab top stand, a good mouse that releases the pressure of hands and fingers (especially good if you work a lot in photoshop!) have made a world of a difference. AKA – I don’t have neck and back pain anymore. Annnnnd: since these chicks both have more Fendi bags than me, their products look very ‘fashion’, which is of utmost importance when you have to look at the friggin’ things all day.

Just putting it out there. Oh and another cool thing is: All the stuff I got is light weight so I can shove it into my purse (not Fendi – but Balenciaga… ;-)..) And be on the go in a New York minute like it’s nobody’s business.

Ok, enough of this nerdy-talk. But hands down: I’m a gadget freak and I love everything new and exciting that can enhance my lifestyle and make my work life easier so I can put my attention on more important issues like… Well, my stay at the Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas this upcoming weekend…. whoops!!! 😉

These are the products I have when I’m writing. Next thing on my list is a good chair. You can view the products here: www.fountainheadint.com
