7 Seconds

Some days are amazingly and simply not worth getting out of bed to experience. Period! If you don’t know what I mean stop reading right now! I don’t want to know you and you probably don’t want to know a whiny bitch like me.

I have a day like that today. A day in Hell. It’s like my body is not responding. It’s moving in slow motion and hurting like I’ve done 5 hours of Pilates (which I haven’t). My mind has a black out and my energy level is negative. And of course this is the day where I meet Jack Black in the gym and he checks out my leopard print tights and I have nothing to say… I’m dull and sad as an old worn-out rug. And I love Jack Black. I think he is hilarious. On a day like this I just want to marry Jack Black. My Kingdom for a funny man who can make me laugh and forget about my own pathetic dysfunctional self. Jack if you read this please apply within!!!!

How is it that we can go from the highest high and then to the lowest low in a matter of a day…hours…minutes..seconds? One teacher I once had told me, that an emotion only lasts 7 seconds. An emotion comes from a reaction to something. An experience of some sort. But this so called reaction is rather short, so why am I still miserable long after the 7 seconds have passed? Well, because apparently we reproduce the emotion after the 7 seconds…. and reproduce and reproduce and reproduce until we either experience something pleasant or we decide to snap out of it and get on with our lives.

But I’m not going to fall into that trap tonight. No no… I’m going to be very emotional. Miserable and emotional. I’m going to eat, drink and react emotional to everything and maybe re-watch ‘Nine’ again even though I hate myself for actually liking that picture. How can you like a comedic spin-off from the great Fellini? And I usually detest musicals. I don’t know what this is all about… Ok I still don’t like to hear or watch Nicole Kidman sing….. Big sigh… Anyways, I think it’s better we speak tomorrow. I have some Chardonnay on ice and some Scottish Black liquorice that I have to consume in big amounts before my mood changes again….

XOXO Miss Moody
