Filming and Roadtrip

After long days and nights of filming our first project and working on other current and future projects on the side, I am finally on a little road trip with the American side of my family. Once a year, we take a trip somewhere and do something new. Since we are all spread around the world this has been a tradition since almost 10 years.

Right now I’m curled up on my bed in a beach motel between Long Beach and New Port Beach. I’m sharing a room with my sister, who lives in New Mexico on a daily basis, so this is a very lovely and much needed reunion.

Tmro we commence the ‘something new’, and this year it is kite surfing. Neither of us have ever tried it before and the water is freezing down here so I am a bit nervous. I’ll let you know how it goes after tmro. After Kite surfing we are New Mexico bound where we will meet our production team and work some more on the film. And speaking of the film; The following pictures are from the past week’s shoot. It was tough at times, but incredibly fun and inspiring as well…

These pictures look insane and they have nothing to do with the filming. On Saturday I picked up my dad in the airport and the film crew followed us around until it was time to get dressed for my friend’s bday party in the Hills. A ‘Sexy Alien/Astronaut’ party. My dad and I are to the left, photographer Gar Reisman and I to the right

On Sunday we had a ‘Brunch meets Science’ event where good people, food and drinks mixed while a discussion about science went on. It was quite interesting.

On Thursday team Repulic Royal (Alexis, I and Mark) went to an outdoor screening at The W Hotel for RAD Artist’s new shorts. It was a fun night and a lot of familiar faces.
