Fairy Tale Status

2011 is almost over and it’s time to make status of the year. For the first time ever in my life I made a list of goals to achieve this year. I did it on my rooftop back in January and yesterday I accidently stumbled over the little piece of paper. Would I be able to check all the boxes here almost 12 months after? Not entirely. But some of my bigger ‘items’ on the list were actually achieved. Check! Some still to come, and others sort of morphed themselves into a better version of their old selves.

Conclusion: These days I’m more or less living the dream / the fairy tale I never thought possible just a few years ago. I’m doing what I love to do, traveling the world every week and feeling more inspired than I have in a long time. I am working with super talented people, learning new things and moving about outside my comfort zone most of the time, which I like. But midts the glamourama there is a price to be paid. There are no free lunches in life and this time around I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. My back aches from all the flying (Yes, I’m flying coach. No PJ – yet) and my mind is tired from all the time zone frenzie. I’m beginning to look forward to my Holiday trip to Denmark where I will pull the plug, rest up, go to the gym every day, sleep and eat and not work (or at least try. I am a workaholic  – there – I said it ;-)..).

But before I pull the plug I’m super excited to go to my favorite city in the world – NYC. I’m off tmro where I’m meeting up with my girls for some quality time before the big ‘All Things New York’ party on Monday. It’s a party thrown by Wiloughby’s and Canon on 5th avenue where my book will be featured. It will be fun and everything is taken care of from hotels to spectacular dresses to wear. Like I said: Fairy tale status…

Ok, I’m out. A lot to be done before I leave LA.

Take care and let me know if you can check all the boxes on your list of ‘2011 Achievements’  … 😉

Here are some pics I shot in Malibu back in October 2011:
