Benefit Night in NYC

Got into NYC on a red-eye on Wednesday morning with Virgin America. Didn’t sleep at all on the flight since I involved myself in a 4 hour long conversation with a Greek artist who sat in the seat next to me. Very interesting.

So Wednesday was ‘Zombie day’. I had a lot of social engagements, phone calls, emails and sleep to catch up on. But the stress kind of fizzled after my appointment at the beyond divine Peninsula Spa on 5th Avenue and 55th street and a glass of wine in my hotel room later. (I can truly recommend a visit to the pool and the facial at the Peninsula!!!)

Today was Jayma’s bday, owner of Surflodge in Montauk, Goldbar, Lavo etc. So I paid her a visit to celebrate. But first my friend T and I took a town car, had champagne in plastic cups, caught up and did the très NYC gallery hopping thing, a Breast Cancer Benefit in Soho and ended up at the big masquerade Black Tie gala at the Lincoln Center.

All in all a super night in NYC and I cannot wait for tomorrow. Besides the birthday party I’m going to I’m meeting with an Italian film crew in the afternoon and we are going to do some test shooting. So this rock star is off to bed now a little earlier than her die-hard New Yorker friends.
