Animalistic

After a long day in both Westwood and Hollywood I finished the afternoon and night with an even longer, fun and demanding photo shoot Downtown. Iguanas, snakes, dogs, fire, skulls, airbrush body paint and gorgeous, heavy head pieces  were involved. It was an experience to say the least and since I have never worked with reptiles before I was super stoked. My highlight of the night was when the Iguana ‘Bee’ climbed on my shoulder and wrapped herself around my neck.  Such a fascinating and beautiful animal!

After the shoot I came home directly and ran a bath and poured a good amount of olive oil and massage oil into the water. Karina, the stylist and choreographer of today’s shoot gave me the best tip ever: Whenever you get body painted with alcohol based color do not use alcohol to take it off (!) It is going to dry your skin out. Instead do what she told me to do: Soak in the tub with oils for a while and then scrub your body with a sponge. Preferably the rough side of it. It will leave you not only clean, but super soft like a newborn.

I wish I had known this earlier. It took my days to clean up completely after my last movie where I was in makeup every day for 2.5 hours. Plus my skin and nails were critically dry after that affair.

Ok, enough from me for tonight. I’m off to bed now. I have to get up early in the am and work again.

Enjoy your day/night where ever you are… xx KK
