Back in the jungle after almost a year. It has been a while, but this place sure still works it’s magic when it comes to getting in the zone of contemplation, grounding, reflecting and getting more than 4 hours sleep a night. The weekend passed like it was never there. That’s how fast it went and the highlight was without doubt Saturday night’s event at LAB ART on LaBrea right here in LA. The gallery did a joint venture with the infamous tattoo artists ‘Black Banditz’, who are located on Melrose and where most of my tattoo crazed friends get their ink done. I can’t believe I never saw this video before! Director Chris Cunningham is a genius. You can say what you want about this video, but I think it is super radical and great to see somebody playing on all the clichés of the superficial well-over exposed LA bling-bling lifestyle and manage to show the sick to the bone flip side without boring the audience to death.
