This morning around 6 am I woke up to the sirens of fire engines and helicopters circling around our house like angry hornets over a jar of strawberry jam. Ignoring them was impossible even though I tried with the ‘pillow-over-head-trick’ nothing worked. So after only 3 hours of restless sleep Jannik and I tumbled onto the balcony and found a horrible scenario. They say that where there is smoke, there is fire. And this was indeed the case this morning. A house just a skip down the hill was going
The tough thing about being an actor in LA is not all the auditions, the scenes in your movies where you have to cry on cue or all the smoking hot competing actresses with perky breast implants, fake contacts and a serious eating disorder. No. It’s LA it self and all the waiting that’s going on in The City of Angels. Everybody out here knows the ‘hurry up and wait-syndrome’. It’s a syndrome that keeps you on your toes, stressed out, and very often waiting for somebody to get back
It is always a little sad when a friend leaves LA to go back to Europe. When they pack their overweight merchandise and whole lives into the super-size-me suitcases with little wheels on them and head out to LAX it hits me like a truck. It feels like one of my devoted warriors is abandoning the fort and leaving me and my team behind, standing one woman less in this battle called life. A goodbye always make me contemplate if I’m on the right team. If I’m fighting the right
Tonight we were invited to a big party in Santa Monica at hotel Loewe’s. Santa Monica Pier celebrates 100 years tonight with tremendous fireworks ( July 4th go home!). Everyone in the hotel biz turned up cool and collected in suits, dresses, big-up style hairdos and name tags. Very ‘So Cal’ style with a beachy twist. With a first class view to the Pier and the beach I arrived in my torn jeans and denim jacket no makeup look and felt a bit under dressed, which usually never is the
2 of my Swedish addictions at the moment: Lykke Li & Miike Snow. Here in a concert together. A while ago I went to Swedish icon and recording artist Lykke Li’s concert at my favorite club here in Hollywood Bardot. She is sooo fashion it stings like a vicious hornet. And the self sufficient in-crowd in Hollywood felt a bit intimidated and very curious about this little Nordic Sirene dressed in black from top to toe with the most intriguing voice and a hard core Inglewood hip-hoppers attitude. I loved
Natasha Bedingfield – I Bruise Easily Uploaded by mixshow. – See the latest featured music videos. Usually I’m not too crazy about Natasha Bedingfield. But this particular night at this late hour when I’m writing yet another synopsis for yet another writing endeavor it touches something in me, moves me in mysterious ways and inspires my fingers to move around on the keyboard in delicate patterns. Maybe it’s just a fact, that no matter how tough we women might come on or look like on our pretty made up surfaces
A vampire with a comfort blanket… How very …. complex…. or …? This is only a small test from a shoot I did in the Spring with Cartoon Maestro Pepe Moreno. This man is the shit. His house is like Disney Land packed with amazing costumes, arms, gadgets and awards. You wouldn’t believe it. The project is still in the makes and it is so wicked you are going to love it or choke on it when it comes out. Ha ha 🙂
I read this somewhere and it made me smile…..a lot…I’m still smiling 🙂 Hope you enjoy it too. Have a great day! ”Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her sperm, she’ll make you a baby. If you give her a house, she’ll make you a home. If you give her groceries, she’ll make you a meal. If you give her a smile, she’ll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be
Maybe it’s the heat, maybe it’s the fashion, the moves or the rythm, but I just had a huge Madonna Moment that took me waaaaay down memory lane. Watch this and tell me if I’m wrong. Isn’t she the bomb? I mean, who doesn’t recall the Summer of…. and the party at…the first kiss… blue mascara… and the first pairs of Manolos (or whatever we wore before those) when they listen The Big M’s tunes….?
It’s Sunday, and you are so hungover from last night’s late supper and drinks at Chateau Marmont, drinks at the club Guys&Dolls and ….well.. more drinks at night club Villa. It’s not very ‘LA’ to stay out so late and indulge in alcohol on this level. I’m almost feeling NYC and like a Danish Viking there for a moment. I try to open my computer to write on a couple of projects that I’m working on, but my head is killing me and it’s way to hot to be anywhere
