New Campaign

While I was away, or perhaps just before I left I received the first pack of images for a campaign I shot for The Mat with the super talented photographer Signe Morkeberg Sjostrom and MUA Phoebe Dawson. You might recall that I posted some ‘behind the scenes’ images from our long and fun day shooting at my pool and in Malibu a while back. But now a few of the real images for the winter campaign have been released and I am very happy about them. I absolutely love how

Leaving Las Vegas

I’m on the flight, Los Angeles bound sitting contemplating on the past 3 weeks of filming in and around Las Vegas. After a pretty demanding schedule on location with tons of physical activity and action scenes I am beyond tired, so I will have to write about this past week’s experiences tmro. I am simply too exhausted to put together anything that makes sense right now. One thing is certain though: I had the most amazing and inspiring time and I hope to work with this team again in the

Desert Life…

Random weather with crazy off season monsoon-like rain showers created flash flooding in the desert around and in Downtown Las Vegas last Thursday. The unheard of weather conditions for the season changed our shooting schedule around a bit. And because one of our actors had to fly back to Europe this morning we had to use Saturday as a full production day even though we usually have the weekends off. This week I have been everywhere emotionally possible. I kid you not. But it feels beyond amazing and I am

Wow! I had the most crazy action packed day. From early morning until sunset I was beating shit to pieces with a baseball bat, fighting my enemy with a knife and getting my ass kicked too. It was super intense, hardcore and fun. Everything was planned and mapped out to every single detail so nobody got hurt. Yet still, the scenes look extremely violent. My partner in this scene is a top stunt man so I felt safe and very much at ease attacking him with a knife and getting

Today’s shoot is over and after a dip in the pool, a shower and dinner we watched dailies. For those of you who are not familiar with that term ‘dailies’ I will explain it right here: ‘Dailies’ is the footage shot in one day that the director watches every day after a shoot.  I never watch my takes during my day, but in some productions I do find it very helpful to to watch dailies at night to see what the camera caught during the day to see where I’m

Hooters Baby!

First weekend in Las Vegas since I arrived Tuesday and a very, very different one from what I’m used to. Usually when I’m in Sin City we stay in some fancy hotel (The Cosmopolitan) and party like no tmro. This time, not so much. The whole team of actors and crew is staying out in a huge house 15 minutes from The Strip. Even though I miss my own bed I like staying on location. It brings everyone closer together and I think the work becomes better and more focused

Today we filmed part of the casino robbery scene of the movie in the old part of Downtown Vegas. A shoot that turned out to be quite an unexpected visual treat. Driving down the old streets of Vegas is like stepping back in time. Absolutely none of the high rollers, business folks nor the jet-set crowd, who frequent Vegas whenever DJ Kaskade or DJ Morillo are in town would ever set foot here. Old, burned out casinos worn out motels that have seen better days and tons of auto body

First day on set in Vegas and 21 more to go… I didn’t sleep much after the long drive from LA last night . 6.5 hours of restless tossing and turning before the sun rays woke me up through the curtains. Sleepy and puffy eyed I stumbled out to the pool and collapsed with my feet in the cool water. A hot day in the desert was about to commence. We have mostly spoken about changes and rewrites and rehearsed a bit today in and around our house today. I

‘-What does being an artist mean to you’?  ‘-What elements do you look for when you choose projects’? ‘-What are your goals for your acting career?‘ These were a few of the questions posed today at the interview by ”Blue Ambition Emerging Artist in Los Angeles”. PK, photographer, DP, director and brilliant artist is the man behind the brain child, which goal is the following: ”The project is meant to show the depth and breadth and international diversity of the artistic talent struggling to make it in this great city

Hello folks! I’m back in Los Angeles again after the little road trip and for the first time in a month I am truly loving the heat! After freezing, but absolutely gorgeous Carmel and San Francisco my hometown feels very, very welcoming. Since I got back I’ve been working, catching up on hot yoga, sleeping and today my car even got a bath and a polish. Tomorrow after I drive my man to the airport – he is returning to Nicaragua – I am doing an interview with a cool
