From bad-ass Rock’n’Roll to Super deluxe! Yesterday we left the laid back Montauk way of living to test out another type of lifestyle in Bridge Hampton. Here, we were invited to stay in the most gorgeous 20+ bedroom mansion owned by a friend of a friend. 3 other girls came out from Manhattan to double the party, we took a peak in the wine cellar and … ha ha … well… the day became one long bliss under the sun in the chilled pool. Later the 2 guys , who

I arrived yesterday late afternoon in Montauk and checked into the old school ‘shabby-chic’ hotel called Memory Motel. Hot spot in the 70’s for peeps like The Rolling Stones, Warhol and the likes. Now…. ha ha …. well, the new owners are these cool, young guys who know what’s up. they took over the joint one month ago, but they have decided to wait with the whole renovation process till December. So, the rooms are very ‘authentic’. I have absolutely no problem with this ‘realism’. On the contrary. I think

4th of July is one of the biggest days in The US. It’s the big independence day and everyone is gearing up to party. However, strolling the streets in The West Village this morning I’ve never seen Manhattan this empty. Where is the party at people? It’s even more quiet than Beverly Hills after midnight.. hmmmm….I’m guessing it’s just quiet before the storm tonight. But I will never know. Because I’m leaving town (even though I just got here last night). In 2 hours I’m off to Montauk to celebrate

NYC BABY!

Up at the crack of dawn again (almost). Well it was 7 a.m. and considering I went to bed after 2 a.m. it was quite an achievement. Last night I had quite a few meetings and topped the day off with the famous McCarthy salad at The Polo Lounge. A good way to have the last meeting and say my goodbyes to LA for now. Getting up so early and doing something almost unspeakable at that hour: jogging for 45 minutes made me so exhausted that I’m sure I will

Thursday Love

Up at 6:30 am…wowza! Is this early rising becoming a habit of mine all of a sudden? This morning I had my private acting lesson in Santa Monica and after my teacher helped me film an audition I have for a feature film. It’s a pretty big project and I really like the script so I was kind of nervous driving there. And of course LA morning traffic doesn’t help the spirit. What’s up with that anyways? Grid lock that early in the a.m. going west on the I10 should

Today I had a fitting downtown at the Marriot Hotel for a fashion show tomorrow night. It’s for a Japanese designer who’s in town showing his new ideas. His look is very street and ‘Tokyo’. Fun a tad over the top and futuristic. What’s a ‘fitting’ you ask? It’s a meeting between you and the designer where he or she has you try on different outfits from the collection to see how it looks on you. Sometimes it can take a really long time if they are behind schedule and

Shoot Today

Today I was booked for one day’s shoot with actor/producer/director Brian Hooks. I got up at 5 am and drove to the location in the Harbor in San Pedro one hour south of LA. It’s always exciting to discover the dynamics and energy on a new set. What’s the pace, what’s the tone etc. etc. Today was a nice surprise. Everybody was fun, pleasant and low key and the scenes we did were pure comedy. Brian is a genius when it comes to improvising. He made us all crack up

Yesterday Jon Barnes invited me to a small and closed event in The Hills. The BBq was on, the pool was heated and the Chardonnay was on ice. Often the normal concept of a pool party in Hollywood has a ‘rave feel’ to it. Picture 100s of young, sweaty and drunk Los Angelinos dancing to loud techno music blasting out from distorted speakers. Not a pretty sight to say the least. But hey, who am I to judge. ha ha :-). Anyways, yesterday was more … shall we say ‘sophisticated’

Sometimes it happens you come across an artist with such a magnificent talent that you just have to bow in the dust. LP is one of those. I have mentioned her before. A super talented singer that among others performs at the Hollywood Club Bardot on Thursdays. I know I just made a mention about Bardot, but I just discovered this video with LP and I wanted to share it. And I just have to say; she is much better live…. PS : I’m wearing object biker jacket, vintage shirt
