Word Celibacy

I had it coming for a while. The silent period. Word celibacy. It’s time for me to shut up. Ever since I set foot in Greece – the proud nation of feta, moussaka and hairy backs I’ve been losing my ability to speak. Not that I’m losing my voice or anything that exciting. No. But words seem to be slipping my mind lately. Slowly but surely. like the logical center of my brain where I structure my sentences and compose my sounds went on Summer camp or something. Neither of

This morning very early in the a.m. we left our Greek village and found us self south bound. We had breakfast at some random little tavern at the beach we discovered by coincidence and we dipped in the ocean before the eggs were ready and the oranges were squeezed into glasses. Then we took off again until we hit our destination Aquila Atlantic Hotel. It is a little taste of paradise here. But after breakfast and check in, I was in a weird place emotionally and physically. Like out of

Today I finished the most amazing script about witches. Not the old fashioned, boring and ugly witches. No, smart, sophisticated and very alluring women with certain super powers. I love it when a story just sucks you in to the core of it’s circumstances. Its’ fictional universe of truth can at times seem more attractive than your own universe and/or truth. You know that feeling? It’s almost like you can taste the bone marrow of the spine of the story and you doze off into a frantic daydream where there’s

Family Time

Mid July came around. Man, did the time since Christmas just fly like a G5 or what? I can’t believe I left wonderful and high paced NYC less than 5 days ago. It seems like months have passed in no time. I said goodbye to NYC only to spend one day and night in sleepy and heat-struck Copenhagen with my family and friends before I repacked my bags and headed to Greece with another part of my family. For those not familiar with my domestic status I have a rather

I just got in from NYC and was rather jetlagged and groggy when my friend Emilia convinced me to meet up with her this afternoon. She used to live in my house in LA for a while when she studied acting last Summer at Lee Strassberg’s Studio. Now she’s back in DK and we haven’t had any actual face time since LA because of bad timing so we met up for din-din and drinks at the local Copenhagen spot ZEZE and caught up on all the latest gossip. Here are

FORMAT

I’m doing a fashion column on a regular basis for the new magazine FORMAT. It takes point of departure in East Coast versus West Coast fashion. This is the first issue.

Song of the Day

This song is so funny. It reminds me of Denmark and all the good, the bad, the blood, sweat and tears I left on the banks in the neck of my woods. And being back in Copenhagen this morning it only makes sense to post it… God, I’m jetlagged and tired after a kick-ass trip to NYC. Wow! Today is time to regroup and spend some quality time with my family…

Sitting here contemplating over the last couple of weeks with a glass of Ott Bandol Rosé, crackers, frozen grapes, gummi bears, a big fat smile and loving how this stay in NYC turned out so far. The past week has been a mix of ‘Work Hard, Play Hard’. One of my all time favorite ‘structures’, because when push comes to shove: I’m not much of a ‘structure person’. I like my ever changing schedule and bohemian way of life. I booked a couple of jobs in NYC and convinced some

The Wow Effect

It is the weirdest thing. This time when I got into NYC and was anticipating the crazy, warm sensation rolling over me that I usually get when I cross the Williamsburg Bridge entering Manhattan from JFK. The joyous madness of being in love with the city that never sleeps and all it has to offer. However, something was different this time. And it wasn’t the cab, the smell, the July heat or the city lights from the concrete jungle. No, it was me. My feelings were different…. I didn’t feel

Got into Manhattan early evening yesterday after 4 days at the beach out East. Getting off the bus Midtown the heat was almost unbearable. Trash floating around on the sidewalks waiting to be picked up sometime after midnight, contributes to a smell so horrible it’s without comparison. If you have ever been to NYC in July you know what I’m talking about. I jumped in a cab and went home to The Village where I took a shower and jumped in another cab for a biz dinner at the new
