Listening to Beethoven has been my obsession the last month when I’m home alone and trying to regroup, relax and maybe write a few lines or three. At the moment I have a hard time getting anything down on paper when music has lyrics. The lyrics get me too involved in the song in question and I drift off into that universe…. and away I go…. and out the window the writing goes ;-)… But everyone is different. When have you last gone through the transformation from human to mermaid? Never? I thought so. Well, I guess there is a first time for everything. And this was a mermaid virgin experience out of the ordinary. Just Saying. Or ‘JS’ as we say here in LA. Either way the show took place in NYC at The Gershwin Hotel where we watched 70’s short films of a naked Victor Hugo smashing an Andy Warhol painting and much more. … As a matter of fact, the holidays have never been happier! You have no idea how hard it was to find an elf hat here in LA where the sun is out and a short skirt and flips flops are still appropriate. Snow? Boots? Heavy coats? Naaahhh….. Haha.. this is the sunshine state people ;-)… Anyways, the kids’ department in Target came to my rescue and here I am in my little fluffy elf hat posing for a Christmas card. I will show you when they have finished it.
Just got back from a long day of designing my new book. It’s fun, but also demanding and a long process. Luckily, Pepe Moreno, the amazing Art Director and Comic Book Artist, who among other titles is the creator of Batman and Hell Cab was so valiant that he out of the blue dished with Ravioli and wine. A while ago Pepe contacted me and told me about his new company. A network for artists and after a few meetings I was convinced that my next book should be published
