I’m back, jetlagged as f*** and been up and running since 6 am. This last trip to Copenhagen was to say my final goodbyes to my beautiful and beloved grandmother, who passed away recently. I will not go into details about how it felt or was, but let me just state for the record that it was an out of body experience in the worst possible way. Yet the most beautiful and elegant funeral one could possibly wish for. And in her spirit this is probably also the biggest fashion event that I ever attended (and I have attended quite a few so far). It might sound morbid or weird, but since my grandmother taught me everything I know about style, grace, etiquette and fashion I found it appropriate to honor her exquisite taste and memory by dressing to the nines. Also, to have something ‘active’ to plan takes away the mind a little bit from how I actually felt/feel, which all helped. It was a beautiful day and I thank everyone who attended or was with us in spirit.
I also, had one photo shoot on the last day of my visit in Copenhagen, which categorizes it self as the sickest shoot I have ever done. Fake blood everywhere. It looked like a violent crime scene. The shoot is for an art show all shot with polaroid camera and the old Chinese Holga camera and portraits a truly sick minded person’s universe. I promised to keep all under wraps for now so I am not showing any pictures of me from the set.
Back in LA for a few days for some meetings and one shoot this coming Friday. Possibly another this Thursday. Yet to be confirmed. This coming Monday my book and myself will be featured in the huge ‘All Things New York’ party in the city that never sleeps on 5th avenue. Later today I am pre-signing the books here in LA before they are shipped off to NYC. I am flying to NYC on Saturday to meet my girls and spend some quality time before the big party. Which reminds me; I still haven’t found an outfit for the red carpet… hmmmm… I also need new shoes.
Ok, enough from me on this amazingly beautiful morning in West Hollywood. I just had my morning coffee on my roof top by the pool watching the sun rise. Breathtaking!
Am I ready to go back to Europe again and say goodbye? I don’t know… Certain things are to hazy to make a clear decision about and I guess that is ok. After all, we are only humans and I know I’m just trying to do my best. Perhaps it’s not always good enough, but at least I try everyday.
Last night in LA, but I’m back in less than a week. At least for a few days before I head off to NYC.
Enjoy Thanksgiving where ever you are. Next time I’ll talk to you it will be from either London or Copenhagen.
Here are a couple of images I shot last time I was in Copenhagen:

A little over a week has passed since my book party in Beverly Hills with Douek & Jones and I am still not close to rested. It still feels like I’m riding a petit, scrawny bicycle that is roped to a runaway train. Pretty intense. And it has now been confirmed that there will be another and larger party in NYC on December 5th. Details to come. Guest list is quite spectacular and it’s arranged together with Canon and Willoughby’s on 5th Avenue.
On a more personal level I have gone through a very tough and heartbreaking time. Still am. My beloved and dear beyond words grandmother passed away 2 nights before my book party. I had just returned to LA from Copenhagen where I got to spend time with her. She died after a full, adventurous and amazing life a couple of days before she would have turned 86. She is an eternal source of inspiration, love and power to me. Probably one of the only real female icons I have ever followed and looked to for advice. She taught me everything I know about style, fashion, etiquette and manners.
It is still unbelievable to me that she is not here anymore and I cry everyday. But as my mother told me hours before I went on the red carpet for my own party ”Your grandmother would say: ‘The show must go on! This party is in her spirit.” Her words helped me and I know she is right.
This coming Wednesday I fly back to Copenhagen to be with my family and to say my last goodbyes at the funeral. I’ll be back in LA just after Thanksgiving for a few days before I fly to NYC for the next book party.
Here is a little video from the Beverly Hills Party. It pretty much sums up the situation… And sorry for the swollen and red eyes. Now you know why…

Welcome to one of my personal Style Icons…. Miss Lauren Hutton!
An eternal source to inspiration, beauty and everything that is quirky, imperfect and not by the book: Miss Lauren Hutton. So eclectic in her style, poise and demeanor. I adore her blazers, ‘mens’ pants and unfitted jeans. Miss Hutton has always been a true pioneer when it comes to ‘cross dressing’. Yet she does it with such perfection it always looks super feminine and delicious…

The book made it to it’s own party only 1 hour prior to the doors opened. Gosh I was stressed out!

So very sorry for the lack of attention lately. My literary baby *NYC Head Over High Heels’ has taken all the focus for weeks. Yesterday the bubble burst and she – the book – came out of her egg and into reality as a 200 plus page novel ready to take her first baby steps into the world. The party was in Beverly Hills and I’m so grateful for all the amazing new and old friends who made their way to attend. I will write way more soon and post more pictures and tell you all about what has happened during the month where I was MIA.
Until then you can follow the book and see pictures and videos of the party here NYC Head Over High Heels
Lately I was in Denmark seeing my family, shooting a movie, modeling and doing meetings. Now I’m back in LA for a couple for weeks and I’m excited and happy to sleep in my own bed again and be with my West Coast friends.
Ok enough of me now. I’m off to a meeting at Soho House. I’ll speak to you more tmro. Can’t wait.
