Around the Shoot

Posted: March 18th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , , , | No Comments »

Last week I did a fashion shoot around Melrose here in LA. midst shooting Mr. Twist – Hollywood’s number one Videographer and paparazzi appeared on set and started filming us. Here is what he got:

Cowgirl

Posted: March 18th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »

Yesterday I had a busy day: Up at 6:30 AM working in the ‘office’ aka my living room for some hours. Then I did a shoot with a photographer who is featuring a handful of ‘Up and coming artists in LA’. Annnd, since I was asked to feature my own style I couldn’t help myself; I had to bring my suede chaps with fringes and my little cowgirl vest. Sorry!!! The hat is the photopgrapher’s. Of course I brought other stuff that we shot too, but this was by far the most fun look. ‘Danish Viking goes Redneck’. Perhaps not the most stylish look. But who cares.

After the shoot my schedule read: ‘Fashion show at Supper Club’ and then a trip downtown to visit a gallery and a fashion store event. All really cool and a surprisingly urban, good looking and well dressed crowd for LA (Sorry NYC slash Europe, but there are some good dressed people in this town. You just have to look for them he he ;-) ).

I will make sure to post my experience so far from the shows shortly. Plus; Tuesday I’m most likely walking a fashion show for a lingerie designer, that makes the most exquisite lingerie. I can’t wait to see her new collection.

I will keep you posted

These are just a couple of snaps between takes from yesterday’s ‘Up and coming Artist in LA’ shoot. I will post the real ones when I get them…

Melrose Love & Sunday Afterthoughts…

Posted: March 13th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , , , , , , | No Comments »

This week came like the perfect storm. Wow! 8,9 Earth Quake in Japan, Tsunami Warnings in LA and on top of that a busier week in the life of KK than usual. Craziness on LSD. I kid you not. But all things – good or bad must come to an end and so must this Sunday.

Minutes are slowly tick-tocking away as I sit here on the floor in front of my fireplace wrapped in my wife beater, boyfriend shorts and messy locks after last night’s endeavors realizing that in less than a week I turn one year older. And this year I think I can add a tad ‘wiser’ too the book. I learned a lot in 2010. What has 2011 in store for me I wonder….?

Last night headed home from a birthday party in the hills sitting alone all buckled up in the 8 person stretch limo (yeah I know; corny) I had time to reflect a bit…

Living in Los Angeles is teaching me more than I can comprehend at this point. I feel a huge transition. This city is so jaded, hardcore yet fantastic and an abundance of opportunities. It teaches you: ‘If you are going to do it, you better do it all the way, or just stay the f…. at home and don’t even bother’.

NYC does the same. However, LA is another animal to deal with. Business is approached differently. Of course it’s all about the Benjamins in the long run. But the sunshine, the poolside meetings, the white, killer smiles, the highlighted hairdos and tan, wrinkle-free faces add a lot of bullshit to the game (Pardon my French). And you need to know how to go about it. Plus, do not make any mistakes. The big players are right here in this city. So if you wanna make it happen; Welcome to LA! Be prepared to work hard, check your ‘bullshit’ detector and never take ‘no’ for an answer.

Ok, enough of my Sunday ‘afterthoughts’… Here are a few pics I shot with my rock star team photographer Juan & model Tim.

Champagne Life..? Yeah… I wish… But! The truth is, that my life has not been an overload of bubbly lately. It has been more hard work than play. My close friends will tell you if you ask them.

I think I just really like the pictures and my two blonde stars Natasha & Annie…. & of course DP 88′! So #Dealwithit and let’s move on…..

It’s Been a Year

Posted: March 10th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , , , , | 1 Comment »

It’s been close to a year since Tim & I met at a fashion show backstage. We hit it off instantly and ever since we have been trying to meet to shoot together. Because of travels and work we never booked the same jobs. So luck stroke today when we finally were in the same spot at the same time right here in West Hollywood.

I adore Tim’s style and sense of fashion. He has tons of personality in his photos plus he is a fabulous photographer and blogger. I would like to feature him on my blog next week when we are going to shoot again. I know. K + T Overload all of a sudden! Anyways, today we shot with the most charming and cool photographer Juan. Can’t wait to show you the pics when I get them. Annnnd there might be a little video coming as well since ‘Twist’ AKA Hollywood’s number one videographer slash entertainment photographer showed up out of nowhere and kept shooting us.

Here are a couple of ‘behind the scenes’ shots from today’s shoot:

My Arabian Amour

Posted: March 7th, 2011 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: , , , , | 1 Comment »

I was browsing different sites to specify what I wish for my birthday. Shoes, bags, fashion, diamonds. Whoops! Yes,they are all there. Especially the bag and diamonds part he he ;-)

Annnnnnd FYI: my day is coming up on March 19th. I’m a crazy, emotional Pisces with Gemini in the Moon sign. I know: even more insane! 4-split personality /Schizo personality.Whoops!!!

Somebody – no actually a lot of people told me it helps my acting….(?) I hope they are right. Because the emotional, passionate side gets me into a lot of trouble most of the time. It’s not for the fainthearted… really!!! And sometimes hard when you don’t have the option to opt out.

However, browsing for birthday wishes I came across these pictures of Arabian horses. I know it’s a really nerdy and uncool hobby to have. But nevertheless: I LOVE horses and especially Arabian horses. Period.

The first word I uttered as a baby was ‘horse’ (in Danish: ‘Hest’). but it was not until I moved to New Mexico a little North of Santa Fe as a 13 year old that my dream came true: My beloved saint of a grandmother gave me an Arabian horse. He was just broken in. Meaning he just turned 3 and learned to carry humans on his back. We became each others best and worst friends. He threw me off his back and gave me many bruises. for the first time I met somebody more bossy than myself. Duh!

But he also gave me so much love, passion, fun and unforgettable experiences in nature. Playing tag int the forest, laying together in the dirt baking in the sun. Riding through Mojave reservoirs cowboy style like nobody’s business. In my book these experiences with him beats most other activities.

So, this is for the Arabian lovers like myself. I would loooove to get a farm where I can have a dozen of Arabian horses when I get a little older. I’m in love and I’m NOT sorry about it!!!
